Tracking the comings and goings in free agency
By Adam Schefter
NFL Analyst

Free agency has opened with a flurry of activity. Already, numerous teams are on the board. Take a glance at the deals, and the potential soon-to-be deals.

Sunday, March 4
Running back Ahman Green reached agreement on a contract with the Houston Texans. The deal is for $23 million for four years, including $6.5 million guaranteed.

The Dallas Cowboys reached agreement with free-agent OL Leonard Davis on a seven-year, $49.6 million contract with $18.75 million guaranteed and $24 million in the first three years of the deal. Dallas is still uncertain whether Davis will play at right tackle or right guard.

New England free-agent tight end Daniel Graham has left Oakland and next will visit the Seattle Seahawks, who also are hosting DE Patrick Kerney.

Cincinnati free-ageny safety Kevin Kaesviharn is scheduled to visit Arizona on Sunday and New Orleans on Monday.

Not to be that guy, but I think somebody brought this up in the other FA thread.

Or If Peterson is actually our target you can look at it as it being one less team we have to worry about snagging him if we trade down.

Good for Green. I hope he can last another season or two on his knee. I always liked him as a back and wouldn't have minded us taking a look at him but knew we wouldn't.

Don't know that this rules Houston out for Peterson. Green has one, maybe two productive years left (maybe less behind Houston's line). RB isn't as pressing a need for them, but it's still a need. How's Dominck Davis' recovery, anyway?

Worse yet, if it leaves only one trade down possibility then there is no pitting one team against another. The value we can get goes down ...

That's what I was thinking.

I don't think this lessens the possiblity of a trade with Houston entirely.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

This is great for us, it means we could potentially move down to the falcons pick and still have a chance at Peterson.
Or do the smart thing and Draft Joe Thomas.

I could see the Texans taking Quinn now with the thought process they will have a shot at a running back in the '08 draft. Good news for Turk and I, because it is one less team, more than likey, that will be after AP.

Green can be productive when he holds on to the ball and stays healthy, unfortunately neither has happened the last few seasons.

Good luck running behind that OL Ahman.
