I'm not excited about it, but he dropped off a ton last year, and has been in decline the past 2 years. 1190 yards the past 2 years combined and only 578 last year with Buffalo throwing the ball a lot.
I hear that they are in poor shape at WR after Boldin. they have some rookies, but you never know with a rookie if they can come right in and play and be consistent.
They've lost their fair share of offensive players. OT Jared Gaither, to the Chiefs the most recent. The Chiefs also signed FB Le'Ron McClain.
Rats are going to be tough, with or without Lee Evans. I think he might do pretty well in their offense if for no other reason than they have other weapons that can take the heat off him.
To me, the key for the Ravens is, can their D stay healthy? A guy like Ray Lewis out of the lineup makes a HUGE difference in their D, similar to Pitt's D without Polamalu.

You bet that they are still a dangerous team and still have some weapons, but they lost Mason, McClain, and Todd Heap. (Gaither meh!) and I'm probably forgetting someone else (RB). They are a lot more inexperienced on offense I think.
Suh is a nasty dirty player..There is absolutely no need for his blatant late hits and slams to defenseless QB's who have already thrown the ball. Does he feel like a tough guy doing this? I hope one of our big boys takes Suh and stomps on his head. I get angry watching that and the Delhomme one from last year. He's going to put a QB out for the year one of these days, if it wasn't so blatant it wouldn't be a big deal. But it is obvious what his intentions are.

When he is undoubtedly fined for that hit, it'll be his third fine for a hitting a QB in the head in less than a year. If he keeps it up somebody's going to take out a knee.
Dude might be dirty but he is also already a top five defensive linemen in the league. If he was on our team no one would think he is dirty, just "playing hard". (For example, T.J. Ward's hit on Shipley last year)
I didn't really see anything that bad.....I mean...he grabbed him and threw him down....He is a DT---that's kind of his job----hit the QB...rattle the QB.....get in the guys head.......I would rather my DT be overly aggressive than overly cautious.....
I want my defensive players playing to hit the other guys so hard that they don't want to play anymore......
If the QB is worrying about where Suh is for the rest of the game---then I obviously have obtained the upper hand...
Injuries are part of the game---and its unfortunate.....but I wouldn't want my defensive players constantly worrying about how their tackles, pressures are going to be perceived by the peanut gallery......
A DT's job is to rattle the other QB, and if he comes a late sometime, or gets a roughing call---I will take it....
I think most DC's would agree....you don't want your players second-guessing themselves about whether or not to hit the QB....
I got no problem with Suh's actions....
People rush to judgment way to much in these circumstances.....its a split-second decision----dude hit the QB and threw him down---big deal---that's his job...
Yeah, he tries that on a Manning or Brady and he'll not only lose a knee, but probably 6 games after he heals.

Ward was trying to seperate the ball from the receiver during the play..Suh try's to seperate the head from the player after the play. As long as he's ok with it when someone takes Stafford and severely tries to hurt him. That's all it is going to lead to or some guy gunning for him.

The problem I have with it is it's not a split second decision... the ball is gone and he goes for the head and then slams a guy (well after the ball is gone)... I want a DL to be agressive and go after the QB.... but he is slamming QBs in pre-season well after the ball has left the QBs hands.
As someone pointed out.. if he keeps this up, especially on a big name QB, he'll be easily suspended...
I wasn't totally happy with what Ward did but I find them totally different.... Ward's was more split second that what Suh did...
I went back and watched the Ward hit, and one of the commentators said that TJ led with the helmet, which was bs. He clearly leads with the shoulder, but hits Shipley kind of high, drawing the flag; if he doesn't hit him though, its a touchdown. I definitely want to see an end to dirty hits, but not physical play

The ball was out of the QB's hands. In fact, it had already hit the intended receiver's hands and fallen to the ground incomplete. I'm all for aggressive play, but keep the extracurriculars out of it. If I'm a Lions fan I'd be PO'd when he does this and costs the team field position, because they're bad enough as it is without boneheaded penalties.
The Turkey Joe/Bradshaw thing was real dirty, (and a thing of beauty ).
But with today's NFL rules you're not allowed to even bump a QB in the head. There's no excuse for grabbing his head and using it as a handle to throw him to the ground.
