I think it depends on what you like to do as an offense. They are different QBs in the way they work the field. Especially in crunch time.

I love Peyton Manning, he is probably my favorite QB in the league.

If you cut off my hands, and tied a paper bag to my back. I would have 1000 yards and 10 TDs as the Colts 3rd receiver.

Manning always wants it all in 3 plays though. Patience is his biggest downfall. And short game accuracy.

Brady has amazing patience though. Watching him methodically work the offense down the field is reallistically the better way to win games

My head votes Brady, but I prefer watching watching Manning drop 35 yard bombs into his receivers hip pocket.

Which NFL qb right now has the most TD passes in a season? thats brady.

Peyton threw 49 tds in 15 games and then threw 2 passes in the 16th game. Brady threw 48 tds in 15 games and then threw 42 passes in the 16th game and got the 2 tds he needed.

In addition to the SBs, i think he also has a higher winning percentage, less turnovers (per game)

Peyton averages 1.23 int or fumbles per game. Brady averages 1.21 int or fumbles per game. Peyton is 141-61 or 69.8% WP Brady is 77.6% WP. Of course winning percentage of a QB doesn't take into account the rest of the team.

i think he has more late game TD drives and less game ending INTs)...

According to pro-football-reference.com Peyton has 35 4th Q comebacks and 46 game winning drives and Brady has 23 4th Q comebacks and 32 game winning drives.

I don't know of anywhere you can find stats on late game ints.

ahhh thanks for the stats there. I think the Brady stat has to be accounted for because he has less starts than Peyton.

Man its tough to say who is mentally tougher. I kinda base this off of, if theres 1 min 35 left in the game and you have 2 timeouts and are down 5...im taking Brady. He just seems to have whatever "it" is. He just knows how to win.

Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

The only thing that can really be argued is....what actually happened. And Brady has played better in the playoffs.

Peyton in 19 playoff games - 63.1% 5400 yards 29 tds 19 ints 88.4 rating
Brady in 19 playoff games - 62.2% 4400 yards 30 tds 16 ints 85.7 rating

Brady has won more playoff games than Peyton, however putting that solely on the QB is not accurate.

Not sure why I am getting into this...

However the article above was a good read and they state Brady is the better of the two, except it was up to 2004, the last 6 seasons didn't seem to be a factor, Mannings Superbowl has come since then, but so has Brady's undefeated season (with SB loss).

The video, while a great comeback, the 90 yard KO return and onsides kick recovered by Indy had something to do with it, so it wasn't all Manning.

I like to look at it from a perspective of; IF I were drafting for a team with the #1 overall pick and both players were available (coming out of college - BUT I know what I know now about how they play (and/or would play) - so age isn't a factor, nor college career).

The defense, the O-Line, receivers, backs, etc, would factor into it some, but I think Manning makes more players around him better. Not a knock on Brady at all, he does as well, and perhaps he hasn't had the top draft picks, but really that doesn't matter to me top picks flourish and flounder all the time, and sometimes it doesn't matter what team took them nor what round (if any round at all).

Who would I draft with that #1 pick? It would probably take all the way up to draft day and the full 10 minutes, but I would draft Manning.

Who would you draft with that #1 overall?

{assuming they would play like they do, and you had a 'new' team (expansion or just bad )

Statistics are like a bikini; what they show is interesting, but what they hide is vital.
Drive for show (1st round), Putt for dough (rest of draft).

Massive article to read on the subject - Click Here NOW!

Already read that. Great article.

Wish it would get updated, though. It was 2004.

Would like to see what they had to say after Mannings Super Bowl, and Brady's 3 best seasons...

Brady's 3 best seasons were the ones where he won the Super Bowl

3 best statistical seasons.

4,806 yards, 50 TD's, 8 INT's in 2007.
4,398 yards, 28 TD's, 13 INT's in 2009.
3,900 yards, 36 TD's, 4 INT's in 2010

is what I meant.
