I know this has been talked about thousands of times, but with the market dropping a lrage amount the past few days, and in turn, oil prices as well, I just want to point something out.
When gas was $3 a gallon, oil was $85 per barrell.
Today, gas is $3.50 per gallon, and oil is $83 per barrell.
Something doesn't seem to add up. And I know oil prices don't drop immediately, but oil dropped over 4% on Friday, and prices didn't really change at all over the weekend.

I met with a leading economist over the weekend and he told me that he expects gas to start falling in a week or so.

Haha, sure you did, Coach.
I say bring on the lower prices. Going to fill up my gas cans.

Wonder if the neighbors would be upset if I buried a 5,000 gallon tank in my yard with a pump in my garage?

Might have something to do with the value of our dollar. (or actually, the global "lack" of value in our dollar.)

If that was the case though, oil prices would stay high in terms of the dollar. They oil prices are dropping by huge percentages, and gas prices are staying the same and are priced at the same currency.
A weak dollar would cause oil prices to jump as well.

At least we don't have to hear the drivel that President Busch, a oil man was driving up the prices.

Oil drops yet again. Oil is down $12 per barrel over the last 5 days of trading, yet gas prices have dropped 5 cents.
Makes perfect sense.
