Anyone watch fox 8 sports piece on northcutt? They showed clips of his presser with jacksonville and his browns bashing. Some has bias, as he was talking about 7 years, 15 quarterbacks, 4 headcoaches, so many OC's etc. he said sometimes you can't get what you want. He said and i quote "I mean, theres 32 teams out there, I just got unlucky" i was like wtf..the most overrated reciever on our team and he talks that kinda trash. I guess i wouldn't exactly expect classy out of a thug from the hood. Guess Jim brown couldn't reach him as we all thought he did

Reality Bites.
Harsh words, but he's right. You can't argue with the truth (though god knows folks on here try to with every topic, hehe).
Should he be blasting publicly? A sense of class would dictate not, but it also depends on the question he was asked, how it was asked and the context his answers were in. Let's face it... he WAS UNLUCKY to come here. He has/had talent and would probably have been a much bigger name than he is had he been on a better team... through his misfortune though, he got saddled with a team and franchise that was completely inept almost the entire time he was here.

Cutt can go jump off a bridge for all I care.
He wasn't even the best punt returner on our team.

I don't have to hope bad on him I'll know he'll be a bad punter returner there and he will drop a lot of balls there so good ahead northdrop as he says "I just got unlucky" yea he's write we did get unlucky. "he said sometimes you can't get what you want. " your also right there 'cutt when the ball is at your head instead of ur chest of ur waist instead of your arms you can't always get it where you want it and no mater where u got it u dropped it good riddance.

Ok, I'll rephrase it...
If Cribbs knew how to judge a punt, he wasn't even the best punt returner on our team.
When Cribbs fielded the ball cleanly he was clearly superior to Northcutt. Of course, fielding the ball cleanly is the most important part of punt returning...but my quote still stands. He's largely overrated as a returner.

If he was as good as he indicates he should have been, then why did he not contribute to the team being better,....i.e. YOU DROPPED THE BALL THAT WOULD HAVE WON A PLAYOFF GAME IN PITTSBURGH, ... a game winning event that could have changed the face of the entire organization during it's next five years.
You're engine is only as good as the pistons that revolve around your crank.
KMA Northcutt.
Goodbye.

He was UNlucky to RE-sign with us???
Doubt it, we overpaid you and you gladly took it, you drop everything, cost us a playoff game.
Please you suck, go drop passes elsewhere. Ya thia organization was in shambles since you got here....booo hooo like every fan and player that has been here since.
Cry me a river Dennis, you suck, and the Jags will regret signing you.

Just think back to before he signed his last contract with the Browns, he was classless at that time, dosent suprise me he said this, Dennis says what he thinks people want to hear, and when theose people dont matter anymore to dennis he beats them down, even though what he says is the truth this time, he does have a point, but could have shut up and just moved on with class, but class isnt dennis's style, i wish him luck,
I see KJ & Sone hands Morgan senario happening all over for yet another ex-browns reciever...

You'd figure he'd find at least one QB that could actually throw the ball directly into his hands after all that time.

Yeah, he´s right ..he was on some [censored] teams in CLE with some [censored] coaches....but he was part of the [censored], that´s what he seems to have omitted and of course that he was overpaid for his [censored] play....that´s just classless...just what I expected...never should have re-signed the bum after "the drop" and more importantly his "off season comments" back then

It all has to do with the crappy OL that we have had in the past.......lots of frustration for too many years with our entire team! Northcutt was a better then average punt returner...........but he never did much other then that! He has earned major bucks for many years...............I do not feel sorry for him and I am glad that he is gone! The Browns are going to improve soon.............nobody can say anything good about our Brownies the past few years............I just can not blame him for a little trash talking! The reason that Northcutt is no longer a Brown has to do with the fact that the Browns now have more talent! It is only going to get better without Dennis Northcutt!

Northcutt was part of the problem, not part of the solution. It was time for him to move on.
The reality is that he dropped a number of passes that were catchable.
I remember Romeo chewing him out during the Pittsburgh game. I knew Romeo had seen enough.
It is easier to blame the failure of a team on the actions of others, rather than to admit that some of the fault lies within.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!

Does he remember the dropped pass that cost us our only playoff game since we've been back? Oh well.. he's in Jax now. Good for them.. if they need a punt returner.

I beg to differ. If Northcutt was on any other team who actually had a decent receiving corps, he would be exposed as a below average receiver and would probably be playing in the Arena League. Instead he looked halfway mediocre when lined up with the likes of Q-Virus, Kevin Johnson, and others. He should be thanking Cleveland for having received an inflated paycheck every week for 7 years. Or should I say, A paycheck? Thanks for the Pittsburgh game again dropcutt. Enjoy the first month of training camp and then permanent free agency.

Yes I read your quote fully. I was begging to differ with Northcutt. I'm glad to see he admits to having hands of stone. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery. Right now a poor, sad Kelly Holcomb thinks to himself in his most uncle Rico like mindset: Back in 2002 I could throw a football a quarter mile. If Cutt caught that ball we woulda won the Super Bowl. No doubt, no doubt. Things'd been different. The Browns would've signed me for $50 million, I'd have some nice cars, the chicks would be all over me. Say Butch, is there anyway I could go back to 2002? Butch: easy Kelly, I've already looked into it for myself. Kelly: Right on, right on.

What do you expect form a no good thug piece of something I can't say. GOOD LUCK DROPCUTT, maybe he'll try to catch with his elbows next, just go run track instead of playing football. He has the speed part down, I'll give him that, but I think it might be too hard for him to catch and run at the same time. Dropcutt can't multitask, he's too incompetent.
Find what you love and let it kill you.

I wish the guy well. He had some good moments in Cleveland and some bad ones too.
I wish him well especially against our rivals but not against us. He could have been much better here but I think the organization became frustrated at his lack of consistency.
He has a right to have a poor opinion about our organization because he is exactly right about our poor retention of coaches. But he also got paid very well to put up with the problems and was given ample chances to step up and he rarely did during the Romeo era.

None of this bashing or any other roadblocks we've encountered in the past 7 years would never had happened to the degree it has if the team would have had the proper builders from the start. Thanks to the NFL for giving us Carmen Policy/Dwight Clark combo, they really did a great job, didn't they? Wait, I forgot, Carmen did get Butch Davis for us, didn't he. Sorry Carmen, hope you never get back into the NFL again but, I'm sure somehow you will weasel your way back if the LA franchise develops. Builders who knew how to draft and that a new team's foundation blocks is it's interior lines. Interior Lines>QB>RB>WR/TE>LB>DB>ST jmho
