As OSGuy said, Romo?? Also, to a lesser extent, Big Ben. That guy walked onto an all-star team. He has an established receiver corps, historic defense, and outstanding running game. You could argue Ben both ways, though.

Your points about Colt's deep ball are hard to argue. He does still lob the long ones. I distinctly remember him throwing with plenty of zip early last year, when he was thrown into the fire. The only thing I can say to argue your deep ball complaints is "wait and see". There have been several 'noodlers' that have gone on to upgrade their deep ball. There have also been many who couldn't.

Since we're running a WCO, Colt also has the option of working around this weakness in his game. The offense is heavily dependent on timing (as I'm sure you know), so if he can excel at this and other key areas of the offense, he could stick. If it were any other offense, you'd probably be right that he's destined to be a backup.

Your other points about his performances against the Jets, Ravens, and Steelers are kind of ridiculous, though. Honestly, we got our butts handed to us in every aspect of those games (except the Jets game) and you want to focus on McCoy?

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

He didn't say you said that either...

His point is that, The Baltimore and Pitt games, the ENTIRE TEAM played like crap... It didn't matter how Colt played, and it's kind of hard as a QB to play good, when your whole team sucks...

But, go ahead and talk about how Tony Romo could of beat Pitt in the season finale last year... I'm all ears...

Put any one of those guys on a team like the Browns have been in the last 11 years, and they wouldn't even be close to be considered anything special

which leads me to the point.. NO QB CAN DO IT ALONE..

They ALL need a combination of talent around them and coaching!

With McCoy being the focus of the discussion at that point I'm not surprised.

Bills Simmons picked us to go 10-6 and make the playoffs...

So obviously that's not going to happen now...

I see the division/wild cards like this:

AFC
Houston
San Diego
Baltimore
New England

Wild Cards:
Oakland
Miami

NFC
Giants
Green Bay
New Orleans
St Louis

Wild Cards:
Philly
Detroit

I agree with most of this except, you need to look at Pitts schedule for Dec. That cupcake schedule we have is also theirs, only difference is Dec is a cakewalk for them. Their final two months are nothing but easy games. The schedulers sure did them some favors. Momentum at the end of the season is key for a playoff run, their schedule hands them nothing but almost sure wins.
