I agree. Ice Cream Cake has that hard cookie crust in the middle dripping with hot fudge. You don't get that w/ cake & ice cream and the cake gets all soggy from the melting ice cream.
But, if that was the purpose of the poll, then it should have been: cake&ice cream OR ice cream cake

Cake AND ice cream. And pie with ice cream later. But why pick ONE? And I will try the ice cream cake, but that is just cheating you out of at least one dessert. Try 'em all! Don't die small. Can ice cream cake give you brain freeze.

I'm strictly a Pumpkin Pie guy, and I can't see eating it with Ice Cream, I don't even like W(h)ipped Cream...

w/ pumpkin pie, you have to put the whipped cream in the freezer and put it on top that way (if you are eating the pumpkin pie cold). delicious.
another favorite of mine with pumpkin pie is eating it fresh out of the oven. but to do so, it is imperative to drizzle a cinnamon/honey/pistachio glaze on it (like that is used on loukamades if you know the greek pastry).

I love whipped cream .... the real stuff ..... that comes out of a spray can ..... Actually, when I was a kid, my late great aunt used to make fresh whipped cream .... OMG it was so good. (and probably horrible for us)

Somehow I knew you'd like my begging. They crave mine because once you've had the best, the rest are just poor imitations of the original.
