Hey GM, Everybody, Let me ask this ONE question to you all, As hard as you all were on J.Lewis and his "off-field problems", You know the drugs and the crack deal over the phone, etc...Now you will take him in a heart beat ???? Is that being just a wee bit hypocritical after all of the name calling he received from the Browns fans???? Please help me to understand this all of a sudden " forgive and forget" attitude......
I do not generally call names. I didn't like the character of Lewis as a Raven. I do NOT want him in orange and brown.

I hope so...he could really, REALLY be a force back there if we get Thomas.
We really need to get that franchise LT now.
you had a good run Hank.

I for one would love to bring in Lewis, hes a bruiser like Droughns but he also has the chance to take it to the house as well. If we sign him I doubt we take Peterson, we'll either trade down or take Quinn/Thomas. Hopefully Harrison gained some weight this offseason, and learned how to block. I think he'd be an above 3rd down back...but only if his blocking improves. I like Lewis/Wright/Harrison alot better than Droughns/Wright/Harrison. If we sign Lewis for the right price it fills a hole that wont need to be addressed in the draft.

Does anyone else think the cap-ridden Rats are waiting to see what we offer Lewis before they make a deal for McGahee? I mean, they already low-balled Lewis so we should easily top that offer and we wouldn't need to top it by much. Do you think they did that so they could also get McGahee at a cheaper price based off of what we give to Lewis? Or am I just thinking way too much about all this? At any rate, I hope Jim Donovan and that report is right. Sign Jamal sign.

If Lewis is signed...look for RD to be cut...and Peterson to be picked at #3. Lewis must be assured that he is the feature back this year and next year he competes...if he says Hell,No...don't sign him.

Its hard to tell...I'd think if we gave him alot of money this year...the Ravens wouldnt be able to match. Like 3 years 14-15 mill..give him the majority of it this year.

I'm not worried about the Ravens trying to match our offer. I think the writing is splattered all over the proverbial wall... It's out with Lewis and in with McGahee in Baltimore.

All I have seen is that PFT says that the Ravens are getting Mcgahee tonight or tomorrow.

Lewis stops waiting on Ravens, agrees with Browns By John Clayton ESPN.com For two years, the Baltimore Ravens have wondered about Jamal Lewis' breakaway speed. They no longer have to wonder. Jamal Lewis Lewis Lewis, the franchise's all-time leading rusher, broke away from the Ravens and agreed to a deal with the rival Cleveland Browns on Wednesday. Terms were not disclosed, but Lewis reached the agreement Wednesday night after a visit to Cleveland. The Ravens released Lewis to clear salary cap room. Both sides kept in touch with the hopes of reuniting. But Lewis sensed his job might not be there. The Ravens have been interested in acquiring Bills halfback Willis McGahee in a trade. Lewis, 27, decided not to wait and took Cleveland's offer. He rushed for 2,066 yards in 2003 but has struggled during the past three years. Last year, he played the entire season with a bone spur problem. He recently had surgery to remove the spurs. The 5-foot-11, 245-pound back is one of the league's most powerful runners. He was the Ravens' first-round draft choice in 2000. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2791313

If you've called all of our FA pickups over the years, you need to think about another profession

Find somewhere else to carry on and on and on and on about drafting AP even though we JUST SIGNED a FA RB??????

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I agree. Quentin Moses is going to be a hell of an NFL player. If he's there in round two, we better give him a long, hard look.

I'd love Quentin Moses but i don't wanna draft him early 2nd round; i'd rather get Blalock or Sears if possible. Otherwise a D-Linemen if any look decent. Moses can sure put pressure on the QB though. I like UGA players as well. And Moses draft stock dropped so hardcore this year, he's def good enough for my 3rd round pick

He won't be there in the 3rd. I can guarantee that.

I'm glad that we signed Lewis. As I said earlier, he is still a good back w/good power, speed, and quick feet. His cutback ability is very good.
He allows us to wait until next year to draft a RB and a chance to draft Joe Thomas this year.
Savage is having a very good off-season.

Like always. He's a good GM. Course that's just my opinion and someone will probably get all up in arms because I made that statement. But whatever. I wonder how many "good" offseason's and drafts he has to have before he gets some peoples respect. Not you Versatile, just want to clarify that.

Mydawgs,
For some reason i can't respond to your post.
found this while researching fumbles...
Least fumbles in a season.... Quote:
11 Cleveland, 1956
Jamal Lewis had 4 fumbles last year and Rueben had 5 fumbles last year.
Leading the league....Rudi Johnson and Willie Parker
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/sortableSta...;dir=descending
I said I bet Jamal Lewis LOST more fumbles than RD has in the past two years and I was right.
Lewis lost 7 and Droughns lost 5 in the past two years. That's all I was saying. Basically they both fumble was my point.
As a matter of fact Lewis has been a fumbling fool at times.
2002 & 2003 Lewis lost a total of 13 fumbles!!!
