Kendall Lewis is still horrible...

Yeah some of the well-known callers like Hiram (aka doom and gloom)

The Bostonian. Complete loser. I listen to knr, and 92.3, occasionally I put on Chuck's Last Call or Drennan, and that guy once called both tv shows and wknr in the same day. Seriously, that guy thinks we should all stop talking about our teams because they don't have bloated payrolls and high priced free agents. We actually have to build our teams from scratch.

I like the fan though. I mentioned it in the topic, the Fox and Bull has been pretty good, Ken Carman very nice at night. The two morning shows are pretty horrible. Andy Baskin is nice but that show is extremely bare.

I always liked the BSK.

Love the afternoon drive show Bull & Fox. Kylee and Boom are bad but at least on my way to work I will hear about the browns. Knr will have mike & mike which will mention the browns in a wrap up of the league and that's about it.

I cannot stand Goldhammer, and that is why I do not listen to 850. - Dude is cocky, doesn't contribute any meaningful insight, and leads me to believe that he feels he will be listened to regardless of his approach.

There are other personalities on 850 that I like. I like Rhoda,Rizzo,Reghi, and I like Brinda.

I used to listen to 850 when Goldhammer wasn't on. Now, if I listen to sportsradio it's 92.3. - I'm so glad that we have an alternative to 850.

Haven't heard him on this new station but I couldn't stand him before, can't imagine that being different now. I also heard tonight that Matt Loede is a part of the station... sad day for 92.3.

That said, I wish they'd get online streaming going so I could pick it up here as I'm getting really tired of KNR - in particular The Really Big Show. It's obnoxious yelling from all three of them and I like good old fashioned sports shows - I don't need to hear about culture from them. Plus KNR changed their signal sometime back and it doesn't come in here worth a darn; hence the streaming. I drove to Hilton Head in early June and picked it up in the car crystal clear till about the second mountain in West Virginia... yet it doesn't come in really at all about 70 miles southeast of Cleveland? Ridiculous.

And I agree about the regular callers to whatever station. Get a life people. Another guy that bothers me is the dude from Dayton that is 95% of the time the first caller to the Browns Network postgame show... "God Bless all you Browns fans from Dayton and the Dayton Browns Backers"... then that's it. Dude, just once have a point. I'm sure he's a nice guy but it kills me that he's ALWAYS clearly running to the phone with nothing to say.

I believe that you can listen to WKNR here:

I agree KNR Really big show has become boring and Hammer is a hater. I quit listening when he saying he was glad to see Ohio State go down and was looking forward to them having a bad year.
The whole show feels canned and then they talk about stuff that has nothing to do with sports their love life their cars the movie they watched last month etc.

If you need 3 years to be a winner you got here 2 years to early. Get it done Browns.

I don't mind hammer when he's not talking about Ohio State, I think when the other teams are in conversation, he provides pretty decent insight.

I don't like chris fedor at all. The guy is nothing but a bandwagon fan. His theories to all of the local teams is from a fantasy football approach, as if you need all stars at every position. He never goes away from picking chalk when you bring up upcoming games. The guy is worthless. Maybe the mothership picks him up and brings him to Bristol so we never have to hear from him again.

I love Carman's show in the pm, i can actually listen to most of it, it's a pretty straightforward show with no stupid bits, he doesn't honk a lot of ads during his own airtime, he takes a good amount of calls. I hope he sticks in that spot.

If you have a smart phone there's a free app called TuneIn Radio that you should be able to stream from.

I agree on both points Goldhammer outside of OSU talk is pretty descent.... Now Fedor on the other hand I absolutely cannot stand. This morning I actually felt like tracking him down and punching him in the face. He is your typical St Ed's silver spoon front runner fan boy

Ive never encountered a local radio show host that repeatedly bashes his own town's team more then him. I think he brings very little to the Really Big show that you cannot find in any box score in your local paper.

Add to that his cockiness...for a guy that never played a competitive sport outside of golf or bowling he sure has alot to say about what REAL athlete's shoud do/are doing...

couldn't agree more. I'm tired of listening to the guy. I used to put it on because it was the only nighttime cle sports talk (i used to love the guy they had on wtam kevin something, that was probably 3 or 4 years ago)

seriously, when he talks about the browns and what they are doing and why he doesn't think they're good, it's because of what they don't have at skill positions. He completely ignores the rest of the team. In his eyes, if you don't have a qb and receiver, you aren't a real team. I know he isn't one, but it's his type that eventually stop supporting the browns and become steeler "fans"

It's to the point where if he's talking, I shut it off. Seriously, give Ken Carman a shot, his show is good, very old school. He talks, he takes calls, and doesn't get in the way of his callers. A ton of knr personalities treat callers like they don't know anything (Brinda is the top culprit) Like they're some higher power because they work for a local radio station.

The other thing about wknr that irks me is they had their upper management come on the air a few months ago and talk about how in their listener survey everyone wanted lesser commercials. So they went ahead and reduced commercial "time" by a fraction. Sounds nice, except now they read more ads during their air time, which technically doesn't count as commercials.

And for the love of God, every station, tv, radio, needs to stop taking calls from the Bostonian. That's another instant off-button for me. Sorry, I don't need some old crank who thinks we shouldn't talk about our teams because they aren't as good as his bloated payroll teams over in beantown. Seriously if you want to go and talk about how great your Massachusetts teams are, go stream a local station. No reason to sit here and remind us our teams aren't good. I can't stand that guy. What loser does that. He does it all day. WKNR, 92.3 the FAN, STO. You name it, he's there to remind us.

The Bostonian is definitely annoying. He tries disguising his voice & using fake names & cities to trick the screeners too.

Hammer is annoying when talking about OSU, but I like TRBS. The only one I don't really care for on the station is Brinda. He whines way too much about everything.

I also hate the Nissan of North Olmstead commercials. I would rather listen to the Bostonian for 30 seconds over one of their ads.

J/C...

I tuned in to TRBS stream this morning for about 20 minutes out of habit - their topics; figure skating jumps and Fedor talking about his high school sporting accomplishments.

So I couldn't take that anymore and am now listening to the 92.3 stream - things I've heard so far; Cleveland Browns. Think I'll be staying here.

Good Lord TRBS is basically unlistenable now. It's amazing how much that show has fallen since they expanded hours, got rid of that Josh dude and expanded Fedor's role.

As a Pirates fan, I like to listen to Pittsburgh radio from about March until sometime in August when the talk switches to Steelers/Pens - especially this year with the Pirates playing well until the last few days of July... 93.7 talks Pittsburgh sports (Pirates, Steelers, Pens, Pitt, some PSU) from 6am until 2am every day... Every show has their own flavor and nothing really burns out through the day... I've never understood why Rizzo/KNR didn't take that approach and went with a combination of sports/entertainment/life, it's not like the station couldn't have survived and excelled in a sports crazed market by talking local sports all day.

Whatever, hope they enjoy being #2 in the local sports market in no time.

The only show that I've heard on 92.3 that I don't like is that Kiley and Booms.

They are really awful. But the others? Very good, especially Fox and Bull.

i love rizzo, but the show is deteriorating. like i said before, they pledged to lower commercials, which they did, but now they read ads live during the show. 5 minutes of commercials, they come back reading a commercial, read one in the middle of a take, and then before commercial they read another. it's the cosmopolitan magazine of radio shows.

To be fair, one of the survey topics for today's show was, "what is your greatest personal sports accomplishment?"

i emailed mine but it didn't get read.

I once stopped 66 of 72 in a tournament game, although it wasn't much of an accomplishment because we lost.

I did stop 4 or 5 in a shootout for the championship in our men's league last june though

Did the competition of the Bull & the Fox move Afternoons with R&R? It's kind of strange that KNR is shaking up their line up so quickly after getting some competition.

From a comment Rizzo just made to Fedor, I get the impression they're getting hammered in the ratings from everybody. "Get us some listeners" and then an uncomfortable laugh.

Apparently R&R are moving to 9pm... does no one realize the station's signal goes maybe to the north end of Solon on a good night? The last two weeks, I've listened to Rizzo on Friday and that's it... I like the Friday football stuff but can't stand the show Monday -Thursday, that might even be too much now - 92.3 is just a better show.

I heard Fox and Bull were killing R&R. As they should, it's a much better product.

I'm so glad Fedor is off RBS. Putting him on made the show worse every single day. That guy goes out of his way to make sure we all realize our teams aren't great. If I want to know that, I can just turn on the mothership and find out when they either don't even mention Cleveland teams or bag on them like they always do.

Their signal is weird. When I worked in Perry it used to cut out past Painesville, but it comes in loud & clear all the way down 71 to Columbus.

WKNR cuts their signal by something like a factor of 10 after 5 PM. 50kW to 5kW or something like that.

I think the RBS will be way better now. I don't mind Hammer...often disagree with his takes but I have no problem with that. Fedor, on the other hand, is just insufferable regardless of whether I find myself agreeing with what he has to say. It's the old adage, "it's not what you say but how you say it.". I already tweeted at Casey Kulas asking him to play better bumper music than Fedor's teenybopper crap.

Fedor, Brinda and Hooley in the evenings? I'll be listening to my iPod instead. I just hope they don't waste Will Burge on the new evening show. I loved him on R & R. Keep him with them or give him his own show. Maybe put him on Xs and Os since LCB quit.

Will Burge is good people. I always liked when he and Zuppe got to go on the air for a few hours.

I feel like I'm the only person who likes Kiley and Booms, I only hear about an hour a day but I find myself laughing at their comedy. Kiley is actually very funny.

I like Kiley I can't stand Booms. I don't think he is funny at all. And when Kyle is dropping hints that they are off topic and tries to steer it back it seems like Booms' attitude is "Oh well I'm the host and I'll get back on topic when I want to so let me rant about absolutely nothing for another 20min.

The X's and O's show was the worst show I ever heard....there was nothing X's and O's about.....LeCharles would spend a whole show talking about Donovan McNabb and the black athelete.....then it would be Ron Artest......
Bentley and Cherry were about as intresting as popsicle stick on a sidewalk.

Xs and Os withg the Pros was a great show when LCG was on there, Bentley kept things real and gave an inside look at a lot of dirty business that other talk shows are afraid to talk about and ultimately WKNR got rid of him for it.

I have a feeling LeCHarles will be showing up on 92.3 soon , seems like The Fox and Bull will be a good fit for him.
