Nice highlights of Vontaze. He looks very aggressive, sometimes that costs him to overpursue. He had problem shedding blocks.

Watching ASU/USC, Burfict looked a little "small" to be a 4-3 MLB, I looked him up and he's "listed" as 6'3 252 lbs.

6'1 240 - Patrick Willis
6'4 258 - Brian Urlacher
6'1 250 - Ray Lewis

He's really going to need to tone a few things down at the next level. But i'm currently a fan. Gimme him and Blackmon in the 1st and a RT in the 2nd-3rd and I'll be a happy camper...

For some reason I was watching him while the game was on and I wasn't very impressed. And that clip shows him missing quite a few tacles when USC were running right at him.

Well, I know it was only 1 game, but color me "not impressed". If that was the highlights.........whoa.

I'm not a scout. I don't know what scheme they run. But I do know he can't get off a block, he flies out of control most other times.....and didn't impress me. He had a few decent tackles, but a whole lot of "out of position" plays as well, and way too many attempts at arm tackles.

If he's good - I guess I didn't see it. Good thing I'm not a scout.

Matt Barkley talked smack to Burfict earlier in the week and someone caught this picture

At this point I would really like to see Vontaze and Chase Minnifield in the orange and brown.

Calling someone a "dirty player" isn't really "talking smack" that's reaching a different level...

But if I recall, they went to the same HS or something? So it's not like he's some random guy...

I don't know what planet you come from but if anyone insults me by calling me a dirty law student I tend to get upset.

If calling someone dirty isn't smack what is it? A compliment?

Saying "You suck" is smack...

Calling someone a Dirty Player is an attack on them personally...

I seperate the two..

The intensity is great...the angles he took on 5-6 running plays wasn't. Meh.

Is that normal for every MLB?

I think he is restraining himself more so he can tone down his intensity which causes penalties. Honestelly I'd rather he rips his leash off and play like he can.

I like Landry Jones a lot.

RB Josh Haden quit school apparently and from what I've read may be done with football. So, that didn't work out well.

DB Jordan Haden, haven't read much about him since early August, but the NCAA turned down his application for immediate eligibility and he's sitting out 2011 as a transfer year. I read he appealed the decision but I've read nothing since then... he is practicing with the team though so hopefully he'll hang with it until 2012.

So in summation, the "Haden's to Toledo" thing has been a disappointment so far.

I have to say, I am pretty pumped to watch the Wisconsin/Nebraska game. Also get to see Braxton Miller get some more PT, so it could be a good weekend of football.

So....Wisconsin is favored by ten?! Wow, I wouldn't have guessed that.

O/U is 56.5

I would play Nebraska and the under.

Our d-line isn't very good. We can't rush the passer unless we face bad o-lines. Nathan Williams is our only threat.

Man .... it's like there wasn't a line in front of him at all on 2 plays on this "drive".

I literally turned the game on as they were lining up to start the 2nd quarter...

QUESTION: The second play of the 2nd Quarter.

Miller runs to his right, as he gets close to sidelines, and sees MSU defenders closing in... he SLOWS DOWN... THEN goes out of bounds...

Was he TRYING to get a Personal Foul Flag thrown for someone hitting him out of bounds?

Not even going a hail Mary there? Granted he probably wouldn't have had any time but at least try it. That was one ugly half of Buckeye football.

Oh, there is the answer. Let's put Bauserman in. Fickle is in way over his head IMO.

Bauserman in?

I guess we're throwing in the towel.

Fickell is used to quitting on the team.

Speaking of monsters DE Melvin Ingram, SC is going off today, (again) 3.5 sacks and another interception dropping back into coverage on a fake FG attempt by Auburn.

The Gamecocks offense didn't show up today, so it's a good thing too.

Pretty amazing athlete.

2 ineffective QBs ..... and really young WRs. Who do you put in that can help?

This team would have been a whole different team ..... even without Tressel ..... if they had all of the players they have been missing ..... including Pryor. Without them, it's rough going.

10 minutes left, down now by 10 .... 10:35 left ..... can they put some kind of offense together?

The way the d-line is penetrating I'd want a very mobile QB back there. Sure he has been ineffective but he is the future. We suck, might as well get him the experience IMO.
