Watching ASU/USC, Burfict looked a little "small" to be a 4-3 MLB, I looked him up and he's "listed" as 6'3 252 lbs.
6'1 240 - Patrick Willis 6'4 258 - Brian Urlacher 6'1 250 - Ray Lewis
He's really going to need to tone a few things down at the next level. But i'm currently a fan. Gimme him and Blackmon in the 1st and a RT in the 2nd-3rd and I'll be a happy camper...
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?
For some reason I was watching him while the game was on and I wasn't very impressed. And that clip shows him missing quite a few tacles when USC were running right at him.
“...Iguodala to Curry, back to Iguodala, up for the layup! Oh! Blocked by James! LeBron James with the rejection!”
Well, I know it was only 1 game, but color me "not impressed". If that was the highlights.........whoa.
I'm not a scout. I don't know what scheme they run. But I do know he can't get off a block, he flies out of control most other times.....and didn't impress me. He had a few decent tackles, but a whole lot of "out of position" plays as well, and way too many attempts at arm tackles.
If he's good - I guess I didn't see it. Good thing I'm not a scout.
Quote: At this point I would really like to see Vontaze and Chase Minnifield in the orange and brown.
The intensity is great...the angles he took on 5-6 running plays wasn't. Meh.
Is that normal for every MLB?
I think he is restraining himself more so he can tone down his intensity which causes penalties. Honestelly I'd rather he rips his leash off and play like he can.
Quote: Question for Toledo fans, how has Joe Hadens brother looked?
There are two of them, and I havent seen either of them, and haven't heard much news on where they are. I am not in Toledo anymore so somone local may have some more news.

RB Josh Haden quit school apparently and from what I've read may be done with football. So, that didn't work out well.
DB Jordan Haden, haven't read much about him since early August, but the NCAA turned down his application for immediate eligibility and he's sitting out 2011 as a transfer year. I read he appealed the decision but I've read nothing since then... he is practicing with the team though so hopefully he'll hang with it until 2012.
So in summation, the "Haden's to Toledo" thing has been a disappointment so far.
"If it weren't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college" GO ROCKETS
I have to say, I am pretty pumped to watch the Wisconsin/Nebraska game. Also get to see Braxton Miller get some more PT, so it could be a good weekend of football.
Man .... it's like there wasn't a line in front of him at all on 2 plays on this "drive".

Speaking of monsters DE Melvin Ingram, SC is going off today, (again) 3.5 sacks and another interception dropping back into coverage on a fake FG attempt by Auburn.
The Gamecocks offense didn't show up today, so it's a good thing too.
Quote: Oh, there is the answer. Let's put Bauserman in. Fickle is in way over his head IMO.
2 ineffective QBs ..... and really young WRs. Who do you put in that can help?
This team would have been a whole different team ..... even without Tressel ..... if they had all of the players they have been missing ..... including Pryor. Without them, it's rough going.

10 minutes left, down now by 10 .... 10:35 left ..... can they put some kind of offense together?

The way the d-line is penetrating I'd want a very mobile QB back there. Sure he has been ineffective but he is the future. We suck, might as well get him the experience IMO.
