I've wasted so much time in the last five days playing this game. One of the best games this generation for sure, definitely my GOTY.

I think I may wait until the release the GOTY edition with all the extra stuff. I did that with Oblivion.

All these new games out have kept me plenty busy with the free time I get though.

NCAA 12, Arkham City, and MW3 are all in solid rotation.

Madden and FIFA 12 are on the back burner for now.

Oh I shall have to try an two handed weapon then. In oblivion it was a waste to even try 2 handed. I've been gold farming trying to buy a house to save items. I gave a lot of my items to my companion and now she's no where to be seen. Dont think she died but pissed I lost all of my items.

Me too. Oblivion and Fallout if your companion died a message box showed up. Don't know about this game but I'd assume the same. Try fast traveling a few times and seeing if they show up at your side. Or waiting a few hours as well. Might work. Or check where you got them they may have returned home.

These games are too big to not have glitches. The two biggest ones in Oblivion I was able to avoid because I know about them. (Skingrad house NPC falling off the bridge and the Vampire Cure Quest in the GOTY edition) But one of my friends didn't know about the Skingrad house and had the game on the 360 since it released. Once I got the GOTY edition on the PS3 and I got the house he asked me how to get it, when he did the quest the marker points to a spot on the ground. I had to give him the bad news that that mark was where the NPC you need to buy the house from landed when he fell off the bridge.

He was so pissed he started all over and pretty much did that quest first.

Has anyone gotten the complete edition of LA Noire? Does the additional stuff come on the disc (extra missions, etc) or is it just a code you throw in to get the stuff free from the ps store?

Also, are the extra missions worth it, or should I just get the game itself which is 14.99?

I did not find the game worth it. By the end the game seemed like a chore and monotonous. Its literally the same game from the beginning. Go to crime scene, investigate when your controller vibrates, drive to interrogate, charge suspect and repeat 25 times. Story line and voice acting is a pretty good but gameplay was boring imo. For $15 its worth checking out but I had zero desire to buy the extra cases.

I'll keep that it mind, thanks.

I think I might actually buy Fallout Vegas now that it seems like we aren't going to get a GOTY edition.

I really hate that about the industry today. They are slapping their best customers, those who wait at midnight, or go that Tuesday to get the game, right in the face.

The DLC pay stuff has to go. But it won't.

Eh, I wasn't as crazy about F:NV as FO3. I got the first expansion and it was pretty tough to play... just think the alien expansion (for the first DLC) from the first one where the enemies are hard to kill with no variation at all. If you've got a bunch of other games to play, just stick with those.

F:NV wasn't anywhere close to being as good as FO3 . I only finished it out of spite. Hated that they forced you to pick between 3 sides. I dont want to play a game that big that takes long 3 different times to see all the factions/endings especially when the story kind of sucks and is a bit confusing. They missed the mark on New Vegas. Also when you finally get to Vegas its a total let down. Worth picking up, esp on the cheap now, but I didn't buy any of the DLC for it and it took me months to finally finish it.

It's 15, kinda disappointed that you guys don't like it, it looks good, sounds good, but I haven't played it at all. Plus it's coming off of one of my favorite games of all time.

FO3, if you take away some of the bugs in the game, was basically perfect. I finished that game completely satisfied, wanting to start it all over again.

at $15, it's cheaper than going to see Twilight with your girlfriend, so no big investment if you just want to play it since you liked FO3 (as did I.) But my advice is only buy it if you're prepared to not finish it. I maxed out the trophies like I try to on every game, but like AD4MVP said, it got to the point where I wasn't even enjoying it any more.

I really liked New Vegas maybe a little more than FO3, but that is just me. If you are a fan of the series I would definitely recommend it.

I'm pretty sure they're coming out with a complete version of New Vegas in February.

I enjoyed it. Picked it up for $35 about a year ago. Doesn't have the charm of FO3, which is one of my favorite games of all time, but it does do a lot of things right. I don't know if you played the earlier Fallout games, but it goes into a lot of their lore.

After playing Skyrim basically nonstop since its release, I cannot wait for a new Fallout game with this engine.

Been playing Skyrim like crazy as well since it came out. There are soo many misc quests that I've barely done any of the maiin quest story line.

Three reasons BF3 is inferior to B:BC2:

1) friendly fire is turned off by default
2) you can only destroy the MCOM stations with charges, no cumulative damage
3) the maps aren't as compelling

I preferred Rush mode on BC2, but I don't on this one. The maps didn't seem that great in that mode. But, I haven't played it much. A 64 player conquest server seems to be the best fun for me personally.

The maps for conquest are just amazing, Operation Firestorm in a 64 player server is great.

The destructible environments are better than BC2, now when I see a wall of a building get a hole blown in the side of it you see the pieces of concrete flying through the air.

The fact that the medic class can use an assault rifle is a relief to me. On BC2 I loved being medic but you always had to carry one of those bulky lmg's around.

My only complaint about the game is that I'm not very good at it yet. This game has a much different feel to it than BC2. The guns have a lot more recoil, which has forced me to be even more disciplined with tap fire. It has made me better at it though, I am a former COD pray and sprayer that saw that light with Battlefield a couple years ago.

G3 was my weapon of choice for BC2. I'm not a big fan of re-unlocking every weapon attachment every time you switch guns. I just stick with the initial gun for each class every time now.

Don't get me wrong, I still prefer battlefield to playing with the screaming 12 year-olds on COD. Thank goodness I'm not on XBOX.

Haven't tried the campaign yet... I'm so far behind on my multiplayer trophies that I'm trying to only play online.

By the way, anyone on ps3 have/play borderlands? I bought it when the game + all DLC was on sale for $15 total. Just started it for the first time yesterday, I love how it's drawn! The animation, weapons system, cell shading, and even visual focus are all very cool.

Oh dude, that is one of my favorite games of all time. I thought they did an amazing job putting that together, the visuals, the story, the thousands of options you have with guns. What more could you ask for?

There is another one on the way to, CAN'T WAIT.

I just went straight to multiplayer, I'm saving the campaign for a day when the internet connection decides to take a dump.

Agree totally about Borderlands 2, that's gonna be a great game.

Started playing a lot of the Dark Brotherhood last night. I must say I think it will be my favorite storyline/missions just like in Oblivion. I'm very tempted to use their armor even though its not as good as the ones I'm currently using just bc it looks awesome.

I have two coworkers that I got into it. Everyday we are talking about what we have done so far. I made it in the main quest as far as the greybeards. After they send me on a mission to get the horn I've been wandering around and doing side quests.

Killed a dragon that was flying overhead. Killed another that I found over in the Reach Hold, he was protecting a Word Wall. Started making my way back toward the Hold where we start the game and found a Vampire lair that I cleared out. At the top of the dungeon was another word wall that gave me the second word for the Shout I learned from the Reach dragon. Had a spare dragon soul from the one I fought out in the wilderness.

Already bought my Whiterun house and maxed out the furnishings. Started setting up my cool armor and weapon display areas to pimp out my pad. Can't wait to see what some of the other houses look like. This one is probably the cheapest of them all.

I think I will start the Dark Brotherhood soon. I want to get Shadowmere. That horse was awesome to own in Oblivion.

Man I am soo addicted to this game.

Yeah I'm not either, but I do like the new style of attachments. And at least they made most of them easy to unlock, well the ones that are important to me.

I had stuck with the initial gun for the medic class (I haven't got adventurous and tried the other classes beyond a few minutes so far) but then I used the m416 and realized how much the m16 sucked accuracy wise.

The Battlelog browser is what I really don't like, leaving the game totally just to switch game modes totally blows.

Btw (and this goes for anyone) if you're on the pc version and want to play sometime add me to your friends - cldoobie. I'm about to jump on and get a few hours in tonight.

Yeah I want Shadowmere as well. I hope you get him back. I just did a ton of misc missions and I feel like I didn't do anything lol. So much to do in this game.

Anyone else having issues with bears? In the wild I come across 2 bears + I stand no chance what so ever. I can't even run away from them. Most other enemies I can handle without much difficulty, but bears.....man. Anyone got any tips?

Dude, run, don't walk and get it.

Finally picked it up Saturday after driving the GF to the airport. And holy crap....I've put in a solid 15/16 hrs into it and feel like I haven;t even made a dent yet.

Just

Amazing

When the GF gets back, my time is going to become very precious. Until then, work, sleep and SkyRim.

I like to wait with those games to get the GOTY edition so you get everything but it honestly sounds like there's enough here to keep you busy with no guarantee of there being good quality DLC to add on.

I thought Oblivion was incredible, but I wasn't deep into it, but their work is so incredible that it's a must have for a collection.

I think I may get into Oblivion again over the holidays as I will have some time off.

Well i have a level 48 Orc decked out in 100% Daedric weilding a Daedric BattleAxe or GreatSword when i feel like it...my partner is decked out in 100% Dragon Plate with a Daedreic War Hammer and Bow...all Armors at Legendary Status....npot bad at all...own a few houses, Whiterun, Marketh, and i am the Thane of both places...i have killed about 70 dragons....i have a ton of scales and bones in my chest at home...

The Ebony Blade from Mephala is by far the best weapon in the game...in fact i don't use it because the weapon is so broken...its impossible to die with that Weapon...it Absorbs 30 points of health on strike and has UNLIMITED uses...it never has to be charged...and the weapon becomes more powerful thought the blood of deceit and betrayal(kill people you have done quests for, kill your wife, your companions, etc) and the blade becomes more powerful and Mephala talks in your head telling you what a great job you are doing sowing the seeds of discord and hate, and to continue to slaughter those close to you in her glory...

just for giggles I killed two entire towns including the whole garrison of guards and everyone single handily with the Ebony Blade...the weapon is straight up boss....its soo boss it makes the game broken....so i reloaded an old save put the Ebony Blade in the Chest..forget about it...use Daedric Battle Axe yes...and Wuuthuraad is deadly against Elves....

So i took a break on my Orc mauler and started a pure 100% High elf Mage...

Right now...im Level 16 and not having much trouble...I can cast Adept Level Destruction and Conjuration....fire damage 50 pts in 15ft = just throwing bombs at people...dual cast destruction + impact perk = stagger every time....

Conjuration is useful...it adds another fighter to the fray..combined with your Companion it becomes 4 or 1...you can have 5 if your companion can conjure as well....It also so much fun to bring dead bodies back to life to kill their friends during a battle.....

The Azura Star Quest is the toughest thing in this game so far...you got 3 Dremora Kynaz that can cast Fireball (fire damage 50pts in 15 ft) and it seems like they have unlimited magika...they spam those spells at you like no ones business...if your a warrior...you better bring a ton of healing potions and a resist fire or two...and that may still not be enough to win...its really hard..your dead in like 3-4 hits on normal...the higher your level the better spells they have...Wizards better have a good Ward and know how to use it....just warning you....for Azura's Star..if you choose to give the Star back to Azura...you better pack a lunch...cuz your gonna need it....

I have also roasted two of my companions now..they keep getting the darn way...i got a nice fireball spell all lined up..i let it off and wow they run right in front of me...fried! im like nooooooo! lol

So im stuck looting their corpse and telling them farewell.....

As for bears...the key to fighting them as a warrior is the Fast Reflexes perk(i know its in the two handed tree, unsure of the one-handed tree) it slows time so you can bash them when they stand on two legs or get out the way...

for a Wizard...conjure, and spam fire..they have a 50% Frost Resist...no use Frost...

Also stay out of the mountains or high elevation areas until your atleast at level 15 and have atleast Dwarven Equipment...i found out monsters are leveled and some areas of the game can't be beat at lower levels like it was on Oblivion...i encountered a Frost Troll at level 1 on the day the game released...it was ugly...he owned me....lesson learned...

Bears are pretty tough to deal with until level 15...also Find the Lord Stone in the Rift..it gives 50 points of Armor and a 25% Magic resistance...it will help shore up your defenses and it helps any charcater immensly

Also i like using a Ward when a Dragon Breathes Fire or Frost at me and I block it, take no damage and return fire with a Fire Ball or a Ice Spike...it makes me feel like Gandalf the White....its like "oh ho ho ho ho dragon...im no longer Gandalf the Grey...im Gandalf the White" haha

Last Thursday night I got my daughter an XBox (4GB), kinect sensor, and a $50 walmart gift card for $199, wasn't really planning on getting her an XBox, was planning on the Kinect with my XBox but I couldn't pass up the deal. She is gonna go crazy christmas morning. Now she can play Black Ops while I play MW3.

Anyone else play WWE 12, I think it is horrible, want WWE All Stars back!
