You get some skill bonuses in the begining with certain races but it doesn't really matter overall.

I'm still playing Skyrim. Just about done with the Thieves Guild which has been taking me forever. I'm well over 200 hours into the game and I still discover locations that I've never been. Last night I found a huge mine little north of Riften that haven't ever found before. Game is still amazing. Can't wait for the DLC.

I'm probably gonna pick up Skyrim when they release a GOTY edition with everything in it.
I really wish Bethesda would have their team do a zombie type game where it's FPS with serious RPG elements. Similiar to how Fallout 3 and Oblivion/Skyrim are. Probably not as in depth but still better than Dead Island. I liked Dead Island but think it would have been 50x as better if Bethesda's B team did it.
