This might be a loaded question hahaha...

But i've googled this and come up with pretty much cr@p. There is not a lot going on this weekend.

I was wondering for the ppl who live out there can tell me some good spots in downtown. I've heard West 6th st is the place to be for bars/clubs. (the flats is dead now).....

What about a good shooting range? i see TONS of them...just wondering if anyone has been to any and had a good experience?

Def going to the rock and roll hall o'fame! but what else is good close by? don't wanna go to the science thing right next to it....anything else toursti to see in c land?

And it's too bad the browns are away this weekend....or else i was def planning on going to the game.

metropark zoo if the weather isn't horrific...

westside market/great lakes brewing co. nice little spot as they are across the street from each other. You can spend at least a few hours there. We try and hit those 2 every time we come in.

World-class dining in the Tremont and East 4th St. areas. Great bars on W. 25th.

Actually, I;ve been meaning to ask this question to for my and CanadianDawg's upcoming pilgrimage back to Cleveland.

Whats the name of the district with all the bars? Which bars are good ones? I define good as:
- Not 100% barely legal idiots
- Fun people
- Good bartenders
- At least somewhat busy

My favorite places are:

The stretch of bars on W. 25th from Bier Markt up to the ABC Tavern
Edison's (tiny and generally busy, when I try to go), the Treehouse and Tremont Taphouse in Tremont
La Cave du Vin on Coventry
any Winking Lizard locations

There is lot's.

Things I like:

The trolley tour.....more interesting then you think.

Cleveland Museum of Art.....first class...

Natural History Museum is even better if shrunken heads turns you on more than Monet.

West Side Market.....I can spend hours in there just looking around....a must see IMO.

Catch a play at Playhouse Square......I know, seems wine and cheesy, but really, the theaters are wonderful and they get first class productions. People who boo hoo plays have never been to one since their girlfriend in HS was in the Thespian club.

Cleveland Orchestra...again...a bit wine and cheesy, but when you get down to it, who doesn't like wine or cheese?? As good as it gets.

LOL...there are....Larry Flynt has a club near my main tailgate stop these days.....some of the girls work the lot handing out free passes.

We always ask for a sample of the goods but it hasn't worked up to this point.

Get a permit and set fire to the river. West Side is the best side, at least from what I was told and able to remember. Enjoy the ethnic food scattered everywhere.

I think you are talking about the Western Reserve Museums which is conected to the Crawford Auto and Aviation Museum...which yes is an excellent museum...all of which are in the same circle with the Art and Natural History Museums...

Western Reserve as in Western Reserve Society. It refers to how this territory was named before we took it over and settled it, and turned it into North East Ohio. It does not relate to Case Western Reserve University except by location and name (as far as I know).

However....

from their site:
http://www.wrhs.org/index.php/homepage/visitor#crawford
The Crawford Auto Aviation Collection Hours:
Please note that the Crawford Auto Aviation Collection galleries are currently closed in preparation for a major renovation of the entire Crawford exhibit area. The Crawford galleries are scheduled to reopen in September 2012. All remaining areas of the History Center, including the Library, Kidzibits Family Education Center, Hay-McKinney Mansion and exhibit galleries will remain open throughout the renovations.
Please stay tuned to this site for updates on the construction project

So you have to understand the layout...the Western Reserve Museum is connected to the Crawford Museum...and while Crawford will be closed for renovation...Western Reserve....(which is pretty interesting in its own right, but I really prefer Crawford out of the 2)...will still be open

Most of the people who talk ... about Cleveland have never even been here. If you are a young rowdy club type of guy warehouse/west sixth is for you. If you enjoy good bars, good music, and good food with a little more maturity Ohio City and Tremont is for you. With Tremont being a little more fancy Scmansy but I really like The Treehouse in Tremont. Lower Euclid is a budding spot too with Hilarities and Pickwick and Frolic and the House of Blues area jumping. If your a wine and cheese guy like Peen then Playhouse Square complex is top notch with several different threatres and multiple shows going on any given night. Cleveland is also well known for its wide variety of cuisines.

Dont believe the hype about Cleveland, we aint NYC but we sure arent Pittsburgh either, thank God

Bud, several people through many different nightlife options in this...even gave you options as to what you're looking for.

Tell ya what, head to any bar, have 3-4 Xmas ale's, and go with the flow from wherever you are at. I guarantee you'll have fun.

3 days til I'm in Cleveland!!!!!

Seriously can;t wait.... we arrive fairly late on the Friday but believe we'll be straight off the plane, dropping off the bags and then to a pub. The Winking Lizard has been a constant on all of our trips down.
