To those who want to believe in the tooth fairy, that PRP injection must be some fantastic stuff once it kicks in, completely healing Hillis' hamstring, taking Hillis from being out to 100% in 4 days.
Lol.
I'm with you, the guy is a diva. There's been guys who pulled a hammy and missed less time.
I've been very critical of Hills, but one "pulled hammy" is not like another....

Toad...daman...peen...thanks
Toad..on the subject of this PRP injection...it must be a wonder drug the way Hillis progressed in just days.
I'm going to wait on the injury report to see if maybe Hillis didn't reinjure that hammy in today's game.
As for how Hillis looked today...he looked like a RB who has had only 16 carries in the last 8 weeks. He looked a step slow in everything he did and lacked the explosiveness he had early in the season, when he was in shape.
I would have rather seen Ogbonnaya carry the ball more as he looked ready to play today, showing some explosiveness and speed. Had Hardesty not tweeked his calf muscle in warmups, I doubt Hillis would have had many carries.

Don't try and drag me into the strange discussion as to whether or not he was faking an injury, because to me, he isn't going to earn a dime of Lerner's money by not playing. He's going to earn it BY playing.
I'll leave that stuff up for you and others to chew over if you wish....

Toad, just clicking.
To all that think he is/was faking an injury for a payday, WAKE UP!!! You can't get a raise by performing below expectations. Why is it that the media and the like were reporting his injury, even going so far as to describe his hamstring in detail, only to help in this massive coverup of the machinations of Hillis and his agent? Simple answer, they weren't. Tin hats and police scanners will help you avoid the zombie apocalypse Mac, but LISTENING to the media reports and UNDERSTANDING they have no vested interest in helping Hillis achieve your imaginary agenda of faking injury to achieve a payday will go a loooong way in giving you the insight that he was legit injured.
BTW, did you also play with a compund fracture, concussion and broken ribs. I'm not calling BS, I'm calling you a LIAR.

toad...I believe we are on the same side in this discussion, I'm just more direct as to what I feel is going on.
Hillis has been under contract all year and as Joe Thomas attempted to point out to Hillis, just play and the contract will take care of itself. But Hillis chose to listen to this scum of an agent, IMO, Kennard McGuire...who was also Shaun Rogers agent.
If Hillis had another good year, the Browns would have had a lot of pressure to meet Hillis' demands. Now, I'm sure many just want Hillis gone, seeing him as a cancer of sorts.
In the 4th qtr yesterday, Hillis had but 10 yds on 6 carries, as fatigue set in.

not sure how fatigue helps your story?
wouldn't it make more sense that a player could not keep in shape because he actually had a leg injury preventing him from conditioning?

We are a better team with Hillis on the field than we are with him off the field. Thats my bottom line.
IF Hardesty can get healthy, Hillis stays healthy, we come to a contract agreement with Hillis, Marecic recovers and Oggie continues to improve then I'm of the opinion we should leave the RB unit alone in the offseason and get a legit WR that can stretch the field, catch the ball, and get YAC.
Then fix the RT position immediately.

Hillis played hard yesterday and actually did a ton better than his stats indicate. There were numerous times when we needed a short yardage first down or he fought for extra yards when there just wasn't anything there.
Great to have him back on the field, I hope both sides can grow up and get him locked up for a few years.

Some may like the slashers but I like Hillis' game of 'I don't care how many you bring, I'm dragging your whole defense for 7 yards' like he seemed to do on Sunday... I really hope this situation ends amicably in the offseason for all of us. We have enough holes to worry about without throwing RB into it too...

I for one would have liked to see a better MIX of Hillis and Obi1 as well as a better mix of Wr and Te's .. Not a big fan of the Shumur play calling .. Oh and like YT has eluded to on several occasions " Hate the empty backfield on third and short " ..

Actually, and this is just IMHO, I would read that more to be about his attitude and what this is means is his teammates saying.. shut up about the contract, get over the Madden cover and the photo shoots and the appearances on Letterman, shut up about your agent and get back to focusing on playing football... I just don't see anything in there that screams "I know more than the doctors and you should be playing NOW."

He said it was a weekly meeting of a committee of players of which Hillis is a member. That doesn't mean that players didn't let him know that they thought he might need to check his attitude. It just wasn't a gotcha-type moment.

http://www.foxsportsohio.com/11/18/11/Be...?blockID=607424While some would suggest that Hillis' newfound celebrity has been partially to blame for the negative publicity surrounding the Browns running back, Watson thinks the entire situation has been overblown. "I think it's become a story when it didn't have to be in a lot of aspects," Watson said. "I think it's kind of taken on a life of its own. I don't think Peyton wanted it to and the team didn't want it to, but at the same time, I don't think it's as big a story among us as it is on the outside." According to Watson, Hillis hasn't morphed into the diva character that has been suggested by some in the Cleveland media. "Peyton does not want to be a distraction," Watson said. "He's a hard-working guy and someone who wants to help the team. He's a good teammate. In some ways, this whole thing has been blown out of proportion, but that happens a lot. People don't really know what's going on inside the locker room and how we're doing things and how it hasn't been that much of an issue for us."

I am staying focused Mac your making crap up that you have no clue about. Hillis had strep, he was sent home by the BROWNS DR"S, on friday two days before the game, and he was told not to even show up for the game on sunday. Hillis wanted to play and did show up for the game. Hillis did hurt his hammy (once again the Browns had proof of this) yet you and any stupid sports writer looking to get attention and stir up crap when none excisted HAS SPOUTED OFF. Now as far as Being out on Monday did it ever occur to you that Shurmur was sick and tired of stupid reporters asking the same question over, and over, and over again, so he just told everybody Hillis was out so they would shut the hell up ? Of course it didn't occur to you because your not interested in the truth.

I'm not getting back into the discussion about Hillis, but when analyzing just the comments Watson made, I don't see where he "debunked" anything. He tried to make it seem like a smaller deal, but that's a half-hearted effort.

Anyone care to answer the questions above?...anyone?
Concerning Watson's comments...he said exactly what I would expect a teammate to say now that Hillis is back playing, but during the period Hillis and his agent were playing their game of the "hurting hammy", Watson said nothing while other teammates did speak out.
IMO, it was obvious Hillis teammates did not agree with his tactics or they would not have spoken to Mike Silver, who wrote the Yahoo story concerning Hillis losing the support of some of his teammates.
Some act as if the Silver article never happened and that Hillis' teammates did not question his tactics or the extent of the hammy injury.

You need me on this board. I use words like possibly, extort, intervention...I use these words as the backbone to a life spent speculating everything. You use 'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very posts I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick at the keyboard and make a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to!"

That was my guess at Macs next post.
Being that this is one of my favorite movies of all time, and that I have also adapted this speech for various uses, I found this quite awesome. Very nice.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...
