No problem. We really ain't disagreeing all that much.

The only thing I will take exception with is Shaffer being a C. I thought he was awful. And it went WAY beyond Joe Andruzzi being beside him. In fact, he compromised Joe by asking for help all the time.

What is kinda funny about this was when last year Jamal Lewis was a FA I was one of the few who said bring him in...etc

Back then it wasn't so popular but oh well he got signed eventually

Schaffer got a C- (69.5), I round up.

I'm deferring to Savage calling Schaffer "Adequate"...which I'm interpreting to mean "Average".

But the fact is, it is a factor that has to be considered and jsut because the guy is now wearign our colours, doesn;t mean it should be ignored.

It happenned seven years ago with no further incidents. Can't say that about AP's injury history now can you?

I've weighed it and in actuality,he hasn't had an incident in seven years. He paid his debt to society. It was not an ongoing problem. I'll buy that and it looks like so does Phil.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

But I still don;t know how I'd feel about our high first rounder only get 10-15 carries a game....

How do you feel about Bush only averaging that? he actually only averaged... 9.6875 carries per game

and then if you say... well AP is not Reggie Bush then we have no business drafting AP. JMHO

How many 'touches' did Bush average? Those I assume are his carries out of the back-field... the guy got a lot tossed his way plus on STs.

And peterson is not Bush... no one is Bush... so by your logic we shouldn't draft any RB?

Too many posts today to try to read them all, but my take on Lewis is that we will probably pick up Thomas if he is still there in the draft. Looks like we are committed to running the ball and to do that we need a good line and a decent QB. Thomas should do that for us.
I know I was surprised... no.. shocked to hear of the signing today, but it made things a little clearer as to what we can expect now.

Different situation... Bush was used as a multidimensional threat. Droughns is not.

Can you imagine splitting Rueben wide? Gad....

Man!! when i was at the Browns Falcons game they did that.. and i was thinking what the HECK!!!!!!!!?????? He was by himself on the left side.. it didnt make sense.. Droughns as a wide out.. cmon now.. lol.. i was screaming my tale off to the browns sidelines..

Well it's a differnt look now in short yardage,...for all the yards RD got he could never get 1-3 yards when we needed it..look at his TD's...very few..

I reread most of this thread and Jules is right. Very few people were upset wiyh the signing based on character.

Clay said it best with this quote...

I do find it hilarious, that just last year at this time we were yelling Let the Lewis brothers rot in prison,...criminals, jail rats..no good law breakers, now after yesterday were saying, he paid his debit to sociaty, it wasnt a hugh crime like murder or he wasnt really selling cocaine, total 360, I'm the same i just find it funny, one day your a criminal, next day were asking were we can purchase your jersey.... ..Humans are funny
