I have been disagreeing with you all year, and I still do. He lacks the experience but in a couple of years, he will be an outstanding NFL quarterback.
Prototypical NFL size
Big time arm,
terrific mobility,
operates in a pro system
upper body mechanics are solid with a quick release
footwork is good for the most part but gets in trouble when he uses all arm instead of stepping into the throw
Very good accuracy when he sets but when the feet are off, he gets to much air under the throw and the pass goes high
throws a nice tight spiral
fantastic in the quick 3 step drops but needs to get deeper on his 5 and 7 reason he gets those passes knocked down.
Lacks the experience most of your college quarterbacks possess and it shows Has the upside few college quarterbacks possess

Arkansas is trying to mess up the BCS even more right now.
We might see a rematch in the BCS title game.
But not LSU/Alabama.
Might see Arkansas/Alabama.
If Arkansas wins this, it'll be interesting to see who is #1 in the polls, Arkansas or Alabama.

I have been watching this Cal Arizona St. game, doing nothing but keying on Vontaze Burfict when Cal has the ball. I just don't see why people are drooling over this guy. Every time I see him get engaged by a blocker, he just seems to give up. On Cal's last touchdown, he gets pushed back, (by the TE, or slot WR, can't remember which) gets frustrated, and swings at the blocker that the refs did not catch.
To me it just seems like he is an overrated punk, who makes the occasional big hit.

And now he is sitting the bench because he got 2 personal fouls.
What a dumb ass.

Early on I was high on him, but the more I see the more I see a felon in the making. Stick thousands of dollars in his pocket on any given Saturday night and I see a guy doing all the wrong things.

I want to see okla st. and LSU in the Title game. Mostly want to see Blackmon vs. Claiborne but they are the two most deserving teams.

Me too ... I like both players and would,'t mind seeing either on the team come next year.
Arkansas at least made it interesting for one half, but LSU wore (beaty them down in the second half.

Dont you just love the BCS bowl system? it creates matchups that allow a powerhouse like a Alabama or Oklahoma to face the mighty Louisville Cardinals representing the Big East

Just wanna point out that Burfict has never been in trouble off the field. All of his issues are on the field. He's actually a shy, respectful person.

Watching Marshall/ECU... Holy smokes Marshall #3 Dobson made one of the most incredible catches I've ever seen. One-handed backhand on a leaping fade route. Terrible technique, amazing catch.

So Vinny Curry has (at times) an incredible first step. He's got great power in his legs and a big frame and had the tackles on roller skates all night.
He also didn't make a big impact on the game outside a couple pressures. You could tell as soon as the ball was snapped if he was going to make an impact on the play or not. He doesn't use his hands to get free of the tackle. While he was pushing his tackle, he wasn't collapsing the pocket much. There were a couple plays in ecu's first four where they were able to just run right around him to the outside but didn't really go back to that all night. Curry actually seemed more comfortable helping out on runs to the inside than sealing the edge and directing the outside run inside.
He used three moves... Speed outside, bull rush, and speed inside. He seemed to get tired quickly. He also allowed himself to get wiped out of the play. If he didn't win his matchup immediately he'd basically give up. The announcers kept talking about him waiting for him to make a play, but he wasn't able to accomplish a whole lot. Part of it was ecu's pistol offense that got the ball out quickly.
You can definitely see the potential, but Curry needs a lot of work. He's definitely got a better shot than Moch last year, he's more of a football player, but he needs to give a more consistent effort and needs to work on using his hands big time. He would have his blocker on his heels over and over and just never disengaged. His major issues seem coachable. He doesn't look lost out there, but needs better focus.

Oregon is going to absolutely roll them. Although it would be great for the Big 10 representative if UCLA someone managed to win.
Whoever gets to the Rose Bowl would get to tee up that sorry excuse for a Pac 10 champ.

I think USC may have let the other teams in their division know who really won the Pac12-South this year.
too bad it wasn't on TV anywhere. instead, the Apple Cup was on Versus. Yaaay.

Is USC still under sanctions next season or will they be able to play for post-season?

correct. next season is when the bowl ban ends and the scholarship reductions kick in.
considering what has happened in UNC, UMiami, OSU, and especially Auburn (same situation where the parents were the offenders, not the player) -- USC fans have a right to be pretty mad about their punishment.

It was on out here. Unfortunately it was much of a game. I turned it off. It became unwatchable. UCLA is horrible.

So let me get this straight... Alabama loses, AT HOME, to LSU... And now LSU has to win the SEC just to play Alabama for the NC..?
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

No.
I don't understand why people are saying this.
LSU is in, win or lose. Like Oklahoma a few years ago after losing the Big XII Championship.
The more accurately statement would be, Alabama needs LSU to win or they will get left out due to the two team per conference rule.

There are polls that have VT ahead of Ok State...
To me thats just people voting down OSU to help out Alabama...
Is that a little conspiracy theorist of me? Yeah sure, but I still believe it..
And Unless LSU gets BLOWN OUT by Georgia, and OSU BLOWS OUT Oklahoma, the NC game is set already...

The SEC could actually get 3 if LSU loses to Georgia.
Georgia would get the auto bid and Alabama and LSU would play for the national title.
Would be bizarre but it is a possible scenario.
When teams are ranked #1 or #2, they're auto qualifiers for MNC game, regardless of how many other teams are in from a conference.

So if Georgia beats LSU, it will still be 2 teams from the SEC West playing for the NC when neither won the conference. That would be a joke.

8 Team Playoff
AQ Teams
SEC Champ Big 12 Champ Big Ten Champ Pac 12 Champ ACC Champ
Editors Note: Screw the Big East
How it would playout this year...
Editors Note: I made these rankings up, Please tell me BCS, how Stanford is ahead of Oregon...
#1 vs. #8 LSU vs. Boise State
#2 vs. #7 Alabama vs. MSU/WISC
#3 vs. #6 Oklahoma State vs. Stanford
#4 vs. #5 Oregon vs. Virginia Tech
...You can STILL have your 30+ bowl games, noone is saying you can't, I would use the current BCS bowls as the quarter and semi final locations...
I'm not saying it's perfect, but if alabama gets another shot without winning their conference, then you might as well scrap the whole system, because it doesn't work...
Michigan lost by 3, on the road, to the #1 team in 06, they didn't get a rematch, and that game was actually entertaining...

I am a SEC guy all the way, but I agree, that would seem a bit goofy.
Until every conference has a championship game, I don't think the title game should impact the rankings.
More often than not, that game serves more as a stumbling block to a team making the big game then it does to propel a team in to the game.
Playoffs will never happen. At least a extended playoff. I think the "Plus one" is where this is headed. Just take the top 4 teams and match them in the Bowl games....1 v 4 and 2 v 3.
It basically adds one Bowl game to the mix the following Tuesday evening. Some type of rotation between the big bowls could be worked out.
It sounds great to include 16 teams or whatever, but 4 is all you really need. OK, #5 is going to cry and say life isn't fair just as #17 is if you went to 16 teams.
4 teams. Sweet, simple, solves the problem.

jc...
If ever there was a season that illustrated the need for a college playoff format, a "rematch" of the top two SEC teams playing in the National Championship game does.
College football has the time after the regular season, to have anywhere from 1 to 3 rounds of playoffs, to crown a NCAA champion in football, that is "earned" on the football field and not "given" by computers, coaches and sports writers.
Playoff games could be incorporated within the Bowl game structure, with the final two teams playing for the National Championship in the second week of Jan, just as they do now.
Every other NCAA 1-A sport has a playoff system to determine their National Champion...but football.
It is time to bury the BCS in favor of a College Football Playoff...
...jmho, mac
FOOTBALL IS NOT BASEBALL
