My wife's nephew, all of about 30 years of age, has for the past several years been battling cancer. He seemed to be doing pretty good, saw him at Thanksgiving and he looked good.
Two days ago he complained of numbness and dizziness. He went to the hospital and they discovered that he was bleeding internally on the brain. Yesterday, he was life flighted to Cleveland. Now, there appears to be a mass as well.
With what little information I have things seem to be turning for the worse. If you get a moment to yourself, if you would say a prayer for him, his family (he has two very young kids, 9 &4) his wife and his mom.
I have been with my wife for twenty years so I watched him grow up and become a man and a husband and father. This is sudden
Thanks guys i hate cancer

I will keep him in my prayers.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

Sorry to hear that man. Indeed, cancer does suck. It took my mother, several family members and various friends over the years, the last a good family friend last March.
I don't really pray for people to be healed. In my years I have come to know that God is going to do what God wants to do. Thy will be done.
My prayer is the best I can come up with in times like these....May your nephews soul and health be in Gods hands, and his families hearts be in His hands.

It is, at least to us. In the Grand scheme, I suppose the difference between 30 some years and 80 some years is a flash.
But indeed, it does make you wonder and pause for a few moments of reflection.
I like to think God calls people home early so the rest of us do have those moments of pause and reflection.

That is really it. We seem to want to tether God to the limits and failings of our wisdom instead of tethering ours to his infinite wisdom and love.
Still, through prayer we come to know him better. We can ask for healing of a spiritual kind, of understanding and strength.
I just got word they removed a clementine sized tumor that ruptured. Clementine sized. They are 95 percent sure its cancerous. He has had several types of cancer in several spots. Groin. Remission. Lung. Remission. Now it looks like brain.
What is baffling me is that every week I hear of someone in their twentys or thirtys with cervical cancer or colon cancer or breast cancer. My wife has SEVERAL co -workers in their twentys that are dealing with cancer. They say we are getting better at diagnosing and screening but hell I think something is wrong man.
Maybe its the food we are eating. I see all these people downing them energy drinks like crazy and I think, man, in ten years these peoples' livers are going to explode.
Thanks all. You're good people.

Well said my man. When I say things like I did I also pray that God helps my words be clear to the reader and not misinterpret them and think I don't want their loved one to get better.
I agree that it is almost as if we are doing something to cause many of our problems.
I think it's in the food we eat. For every known carcinogen, there has to be dozens of unknown for each known.
At any rate, if this is your nephews time to transition, may it be peaceful and may the angels sit in the four corners of his room.
May your family find the strength to sing him Home.

I'd say you are way out of line with those comments in this thread.
Save them for a more appropriate time and place.
JMO, and I'll bet everybody else agrees.

Thoughts and prayers on the way for him and his family.
I'm very sad to hear this. I'm always especially sad when it's someone so young.
As my mom always says, parents should never outlive their children. And when you think about it in those terms it becomes even more sad.
I hope he can make it out of this.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...
