Just got "Killing Lincoln" by Bill O'Reilly. (no, it's not a political book as far as I can tell - I'm not quite half way through it)
So far, it's about the civil war - Grant and Lee - what Lee's army was doing, how bad things got for them, etc.
So far - and like I said, I'm not quite half way through it - it's an extremely interesting history book.

Just finished "Seal Target Geronimo" by Chuck Pfarrer, which is a nonfiction written about the mission to kill Bin Laden.
It's broken up into thirds. First is a history of the SEALs and their training. Second is a quick history of how Bin Laden got to be where he is. Third is the actual mission itself.
At times, the guy interjects his politics, which kind of bugs me. He bashes politicians for being liars and for covering their butts. I agree with him, but I just didn't think it belonged in this book.
But, the story about the mission itself was amazing. I'm not sure I breathed the entire time.
Also, the backstory of Bin Laden (and the connection to Zawahiri) was fascinating.
He makes the argument that Zawahiri essentially lead the troops to Bin Laden by using a courier that he knew had been made (the story tells of the conflict between Zawahiri and Bin Laden).
Overall, pretty damn fascinating.
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

Thanks for taking the time to give a quick review of that book. I'll get around to reading it, eventually. I've finished a couple of the books I've listed in my first reply and I'll provide a small review after I get done with a couple of more books. However, I picked this up last week. I've seen the movie a few times as it's one of my favorites. Finally getting around to reading the book. I recommend anyone who liked the movie to read the book. For those of you who hated the movie, read the book. I'm not even halfway through and I have to fight with myself to put it down. It's just that good.
