Division III playoffs continue this weekend as my north regional #2 seeded Capital Crusaders (11-1) travel to Alliance to battle #1 in the country Mount Union (12-0).

These teams basically played for the national title in this same spot last year as Mount Union outlasted Capital by a field goal in the Raiders toughest challenge on their way to the 2005 National Title.

While it's never easy to play Mount Union in Alliance, could this be the "National Title" game again? Can Capital finally get the giant purple monkey off their back? Will it be the Mt. Union rushing attack carrying the day or Cap's record-setting QB Rocky Pentello having another record breaking day?

I think this is the weekend my alma mater shocks MUC and beats the Raiders for the first time since the mid-1980s. Pentello for 350 through the air and 4 TDs. [color:"#666666"]GO CAP![/color]

Didn't go there, know a couple of guys who played there, dated a gal who graduated from there (that was the lady I left for my wife <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />), never been to a Purple Raider game, coach is my cousin's ex-brother-in-law, never had any luck recruiting there (Marine officer programs), but I always pull for the boys of northeast Ohio,....

My son is a student at Capital. Mt. Unions running back graduated from Delta - bout 12-14 miles from my house. I only made it down to 1 Cap game this year, but I'm pulling for Capital. (although, the game I was at, Pentello seemed like a jerk - but I don't play there, obviously)

I will say, if it's on t.v., I'll be watching it sat. Go Cap!

Well, I have too pull for Mount Union. My high school bud played there, and broke a few rushing records in the late 80's. They put a few local boys through college out here also, so I gotta go with them. I hope for a good clean game, and may the winner, take the Stagg.

Capital started a little slow, but battled back. It's 145 yards for MUC (129/16) to 133 for Cap (-3/136).
