that is interesting (particularly the per36min). Irvings TOs are way too high, but it's his first month of playing still. amazing that his assists, scoring, blocks, and WS/48 are already among the best of those 5.

note: you should have included Rubio

My apologies for not including Rubio. I understand we have not faced great competition but Irving has been impressive considering he only played 11 college games and was locked out.

i agree.

and i only mentioned you should have included rubio because the media cheers for stories. so, while I could see Irving being the most deserving for ROY, if he isn't the obvious choice over Rubio, then Rubio will win it.

then, we'll get to hear stories about how the 2009 draft ended up with 3 ROY players (due to Griffin's injury and Rubio's foreign deployment).

Pretty much. They had a pretty good run, but its about time to break things up.

Cavs about to tip off in the place where they saw their lowest of low points last season. Here's to hoping we don't see that again.

Cavs are hanging in there so far.

Cavs did embarrass the Lakers at the Q last season. One of the most fun games I've been at. I hope they can hang with them tonight.

Casspi is off to a solid start tonight.

Looks like a real defensive struggle so far. lol

erden might be the worst basketball player i've ever seen in my life...why the hell he is getting this many minutes is beyond me..i much rather see samuels getting these minutes.. we have zero shooters from the bench, and we don't have an nba quality 5 on the team...they need one asap

Tristans height is being exposed.

This is why you don't freaking draft undersized big men.

Tristan is very athletic, has a very long wing span and can play defense. However his offense is really bad.

I don't think Tristan Thompson was drafted to be an offensive powerhouse. That he's averaging 8 points a game far exceeds my expectations. He can jump, he's quick, and he's not afraid to get under the basket and rebound. High-energy type player, with way more upside than Varejao.

I don't know how much longer I can watch Jamison look like a clown out there. He needs to hang em up or tell the coach to put a younger guy in. He brings absolutely nothing out there.

They need to put two guys on Kobe and leave someone uncovered. If Cassapi doesn't punch Barnes in the face he is a better man than I. We are very inconsistent on both ends of the court..Right now I go small instead of trying to matchup. Gibson needs to be on the floor.
Irving Gibson, Andy Tristan, and Gee

Trying to figure out why Matt Barnes is getting superstar calls.

LOL at Gasol with about three carries on that fast break, too.

He's a superstar! Just ask him. I would like to see someone try to get him to lose his cool.

Tristan Thompson was very raw offensively when he was drafted. Then he had almost no off-season at all. Like you said, he has athleticism and a wingspan that cannot be taught, and he is willing to play defense. I think that his offense will come in time. Hell, I think that people forget that he's only 20 years old and playing in what .... his 11th NBA game?

Yeah.

I really wish we could find a SG who can create his own shot. Gibson's a decent spot up shooter, and an OK backup, but I think that it would not be all that hard to improve on him. I'm not crazy about him at the point, and obviously, both Sessions and Irving give us a whole lot more there.

You're absolutely right YT.

I feel horrible for Kyrie, the lack of talent around him is embarrassing. I hate Jamison.

I like Gibbson. Yeah he is a spot up shooter but at least he hits shots. We got Irving to create shots so Having guys that can create their own isn't a killer like it has to be. We are young.

Kyrie, Ramon and Gee can all create their own shot. Gibson can as well, to an extent, but he's also our most reliable outside shooter, and I'm fine with him in that role. Now if we deal Sessions, which I don't think we should do but wouldn't be terribly surprised if it happens, Gibson is going to have to log a lot of minutes at PG. That scares me.

I hate watching Jamison chuck up so many shots, but at the same time I can't be terribly upset that he's averaging 18 ppg. Now if he'd just play some damn defense.

All things considered, I'm pretty pleased with the way we played tonight. LA got on that big homecooked lead in the 2nd quarter and we were able to cut it down to three points, and it took Kobe posting 40+ and hitting a bunch of ridiculous triples. They're playing hard, and the youngsters like Kyrie, Tristan, and Gee are all only going to improve.

Except Jamison. If we could find someone to take him I would be very happy. Good Guy but I can't watch him anymore..He seems like he just goes through the motions and doesn't care.

Random question, with Kyrie having duel citizenship with Australia would he be eligible to play for their olympic team? He obviously wouldn't make team USA but it would still be cool to see him in the olympics.

I know Tristan Thompson is canadian but I don't know if he has the same deal as Kyrie.

I know Chris Kaman has played for Germany because his great-grandparents were born there. So I am assuming if a guy is a citizen of a country he can definitely play for them.

If i remember right he is disqualified from playing as an Australian. If I remember right I think he played in international competition for the US already when he was younger like an under 18 game or something like that.

He kind of rushed things at the end of the game but gained his composure. The kid has filthy stuff.

And we're back to .500 again.

Man, we've played 12 games ..... and only 3 at home.

Going .500 is quite an accomplishment for a team with 2 rookies playing heavy minutes and with no training camp.

Crap. I didn't realize they were playing this early today...

I'm thinking about going to a game here soon... I dunno if I want to go to one where I "know" we "should" win (aka my style for picking Browns games to go to) or if I want to shell out and goto the Heat game, or against another High class team...

Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

Here's an eye opener.....

Just 12 games in to the season, Kyrie had his 5th straight 20 point game...something LeBron never did as a rookie.
