I am just trying to think outside the box. Romo gets trashed more than he deserves. Also, Jerry Jones loves to be in the headlines. What is bigger football news than Dallas trading up for RGIII? Also RGIII would be able to sit for a couple of years behind Romo.

Will it happen? No. Does it make sense? No. Is it fun to consider? Yes.

I really don't see how anyone can sign McNabb. He was terrible for both the Redskins and the Vikings. And he's old. And he's out of shape. And he's unwilling to help the younger players. What am I missing?

He has the big arm that should fit the Arizona scheme. They arent going to spend the money on a star but McNabb will be on the cheap.

As I read the boards, I believe they will all be in Cleveland next year and we will have the queen mother of all QB competitions... then McCoy will get the start.

You can add Kolb to that competition as well..

Where did Charlie Batch come from? Someone talked about bringing in Charlie Batch?

He will probably be on their call waiting list for an emergency pick up, but imo he should have retired 2 years ago.

I wish I could say it was playing too much Madden but really there is no explanation for that. Yikes

No i don't see that..I was listening to STO the other night with Andra Knott and he mentioned that his sources said they were higher on Tannehill than RGlll..Now i think both are very good, and will do well in the league...

It all depends what your looking for..I feel RGlll can come in and make an impact right now and be a fine QB, But Tannehill was playing wide reciever until 1 1/2 yrs ago and is being talked about as the 3rd best QB and a 1st rd. pick..That tells me he has hugh upside..

Like Toad said in another thread about signing Campell then drafting Tannehill gives him the chance to learn for a yr or so before he takes over..I see it as a win win..and Campell doesn't have to worry so much about a 1st rd QB being drafted.

And Toad i know you didn't say Tannehill..you said 1st rd pick..

Toad has had this strange infatuation with Campbell for awhile now,too much heat will make a person see and do wierd things.
Anyway,I feel Manning,if he goes anywhere, will be headed to Dallas.
The other ones, does it really matter?

Prediction game time. Where will these quarterbacks be playing in 2012?

Matt Flynn? Miami (Makes too much sense)
Peyton Manning? (Washington ..... Dan Snyder and all .....)
Donovan McNabb? (In the backyard with his kids)
Andrew Luck? (Indianapolis, unless they lose their minds)
RG3? (Cleveland, unless they lose their minds)
Ryan Tannehill? (Seattle)

As I look down the rolls of the NFL, there really aren't tons of teams desperate for a QB. Many have young QBs who have shown promise, or who were thrown into situations they were totally unprepared for. (Like Gabbert)

Starting at the bottom of the league in 2011 passing yards:

Jacksonville - Gabbert
Denver - Tebow
St Louis - Bradford
San Francisco - Smith
Minnesota - Ponder
Indy - Will draft Luck
Chicago - Cutler
KC - Cassel, Orton
Cleveland - A mess
Miami - Moore, and almost certain to make a move on Flynn
Seattle - They have a need
Jets - Sanchez
Cincy - Dalton
Baltimore - Flacco
Houston - Schaub
Arizona - Kolb, Skelton
Tampa - Freeman (and if I had to have one irrational hope, it's that the new regime doesn't like Freeman and they trade him to us for a 3rd round pick)

Anyway ..... that's the bottom half or so of the league in passing yards. As you progress upward from there it becomes harder and harder to see someone mortgaging their future entirely to get a QB. Maybe a Washington might ..... but they also might sit and let someone come to them in the draft. There are some decent prospects, and if a team feels that they want to let a QB drop to them in the 1st, or even 2nd, that very thing might just happen.

I just don't see a lot of teams falling all over themselves trying to blow up their draft to get a QB. I kow that kinda goes against what I have been saying to an extent ...... but the teams with a need might be too far back to make a reasonable trade ......

I don't think that St Louis or Minnesota are going to want to drop back to 6 and lose out on one of the players they covet without a huge payoff. I think that the Browns could easily trade with the Rams and give them a modest premium while still allowing them to get the player they covet. Dropping further, I think, jeopardizes that possibility.

lets clear this up. I may have mis represented myself but Kudos to you for pointing it out, because maybe today, Boller is washed up, 40 years old and cant hit the broad side of a Barn.

Boller, refers to a style of QB, ... on a list along with the Troy Smiths, the Jason Campbells, the Carson Palmers, the Kyle Bollers,
Just someone who can make a quick decision, a quick throw and get the ball to any point on the field.
Someone who can make a throw overtop of the defense.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Unless all the revelations that came out yesterday between Irsay and Manning are a smokescreen, I'd say that Manning remains in Indy.

Manning cooled on his negative comments so, we'll see.

Matt Flynn? Miami or Cleveland
Peyton Manning? Indy
Donovan McNabb? Retirement home
Andrew Luck? Indy
RG3? the second or third pick gets dealt and RG3 goes to someone we don't expect.

Ryan Tannehill? Cleveland with the 22nd pick if we don't pick up Flynn.. otherwise, seattle or Arizona...

they should have made a bigger play for Fisher then. with Barkley (USC), MJD (UCLA) and Fisher (USC) they'd have the market established there
