Last night on the Tonight Show Jay Leno posed that question because of a crackdown on fake Super Bowl gear in Indy. He said if it says Cleveland Browns on it you know it's Fake!

but noone recognizes pre-superbowl eras. well, except during the Superbowl NBC showed most NFL championship appearances by HC/QB:
Paul Brown + Otto Graham = 6 Vince Lombardi + Bart Starr = 6 Bill Belichick + Tom Brady = 5

The way I look at is like NASCAR changing from Winston Cup after 33 years to Sprint / Nextel Series. It's akin to saying Dale Earnhardt Sr. never won a Sprint Cup Championship. Technically it's true...but he (along with Richard Petty) won 7 Winston Cup championships. Its just a name.

He's killing the competition in the late night ratings .... so yeah, I'd say people still watch him. What I don't get is that people watch Jimmy Fallon over Craig Ferguson.

Yes well none of those "So-called" pre merger championships involve SUPER BOWL gear so those are all irrelevant now aren't they. I go back to what Jay Leno said "If it says Cleveland Browns on it you KNOW it's fake!
The Cleveland browns are the ONLY, THE ONLY team in the NFL to have NEVER played in or hosted a Super Bowl. Nuff Said.
Oh well Cleveland Clowns football season is over & we are looking for a good season this year from the Reds so It's time to switch gears to baseball. I may come back & hurl some smack around draft time because you usually blow your draft picks.

Yeah, we blow our draft picks, like:
Carson Palmer Odell Thurman Akili Smith David Klingler Keith Rivers Peter Warrick Kijana Carter Andre Smith (You drafted a RIGHT tackle with pick no. 6 I believe) Levi Jones Kenny Irons Chris Henry Chris Perry
By the way, 0.

You Cleveland Clowns have no class & after spending the weekend in Cleveland I was going to say something nice about your town but I guess I won't now.
Enjoy that 4-12 record Cleveland Clowns.

Ask ochocinco, or the grocery store chain - they seem to be the only ones that buy them.

It looks like Xavier & UC will be playing in the sweet sixteen. Does Cleveland even have college basketball? It's really debateable whether you really have pro football & baseball for that matter. Oh but you can sell out your stadium with 3 times the market size of the Bengals, go figure.

the Vikings have been good for a mid-major recently, but we don't really need college basketball. you see, they have this league for professional basketball. they have uniforms and everything, it's great.

Really, college basketball locale smack? This coming from a guy who went to Xavier too.
Well, if we're going to go that route, which city owns the rights to the OHSAA football state trophy?

Pro Basketball is just barely ahead in popularity to Pro Hockey. Nobody really cares about pro Basketball and there really are not that very many teams compared to the MLB & NFL.. College Basketball is MUCH more popular that pro basketball, we don't have the Royals anymore & really don't miss them anyway. Cincinnati Moeller. Elder & St. Xavier have routinely dominated OHSAA High School football over the years & you Cleveland Clowns like to claim every High School north of Columbus as being "Cleveland".

A lot of people do, actually. Both here in the U.S. and around the world.

No, it isn't.
NCAA basketball ranks behind the NBA in just about every popularity measurement there is.

Here are the facts for OHSAA: web page Lakewood is adjacent to Cleveland. You lose. Regarding the NBA, you guys have as many fans show up to watch NBA games in your city as NFL games....

Congrats, the Bengals have "real" Super Bowl merchandise.
It's being worn by the same African tribe that's wearing the 2012 Patriots Super Bowl merchandise.
