If anything, that makes me respect and dig Adele more. She's all natural. Her singing, songwriting, and lyrics are the product from within. I'm glad she isn't sitting in the studio half-assing auto-tune vocals while she sticks a couple fingers down her throat to sell an image. She's a healthy woman and better example for girls growing up than a Katy Perry or Miley "I'm lucky my dad's famous" Cyrus. Not saying the chick from Sugarland is that. It's just with so many people on Adele for her appearance I just have to sigh at how shallow we can be time to time. Not you. Just society in general. As for Whitney, it's just a shame. Voices like that don't grow on trees.

Oh, I agree society can be shallow. In fact, I can be shallow myself a lot too (my girlfriend always gets pissed about it) But my girl Nettles has better pipes than Adele. Check out this link. http://www.youtube.com/v/m-9WBYZ9YlsMy girl Nettles outshines her at the end of the song. She comes in around 1:45 seconds. I think Adele is having some voice problems there, as I've seen her do good stuff. But my girl Nettles is the bomb baby. There's other great singers that are hot too. Not everyone's Brittany auto-tuned. Carrie Underwood for example, she's georgeous. She competes with my dream girls Beyonce and Niki Menaj. And vocally she's more talented than both. And Shakira, if you can speak Spanish, her original albums are pretty amazing. Those are my girls, Shakira, Nikki, Beyonce, Carrie Underwood, and Jennifer Nettles Out of all of them, Nettles' voice is most definitely the best though

Music is all about personal tastes in the end you like what you like . Having said that I wouldn't put Nettles anywhere near Adele vocal talent wise .

If I heard correctly, Adele just had surgery on her voice box and it was her first time singing since the operation.

Its hard to compare voices from different genres of music. From my era of rock, I always thought Grace Slick and Nancy Wilson (from Heart) were great voices, with an edge to Wilson. These days, I really like Alison Krause's voice for its pure, clear quality. Whitney Houston's voice was probably better than any of them, even if it wasn't my favorite type of music. She had great range and power, without sounding like she was straining at all.

It was the Grammy's in 2009, that's why they were singing Chasing Pavements.
I like Adele a lot, love that song. Like it more than Rolling In The Deep and Someone Like You.
But yeah, i think she has larengitis or something when she sings it.
It's true though, taste in music is taste in music. I like everything and I've begun to enjoy country since I've heard it (near NYC, we don't listen to Country), but I've heard a bunch of Sugarland songs and always have loved Nettles

Adele had a polyp removed from her throat. This was her first time singing live since the operation.

That's for the most recent grammy's though I think. The link I posted was from 2009 grammys where Nettles outsung her.
But yeah, I feel her pain. I think i might have a polyp or tumor in my sinuses. I gotta get a catscan on them. I've had major sinus issues since I was in middle school and they've recently gotten much worse than they ever had before. (Sinus headaches)

can you explain what makes Nikki Minaj so appealing? The rapid fire delivery of her raps like a machine gun does not "define" talent. I know she's been a popular flavor for sometime now,but I just look at her and she looks fabricated. these days with autotune and etc..it doesn't take much to cut a song. One thing I noticed about female rappers...their shelf life is a blink. Missy Elliot has lasted....Lil Kim was hot for a time...Foxy Brown came and went..Eve made a name. but none have staying power... for female singers,I've always liked the Euro-metal females as of late... big fan of Debbie Harry, who ironically was one of the 1st females to "rap"

I like to think of myself as a pretty open minded guy when it comes to any music. My tastes run the entire spectrum of music and I just plain don't understand the attraction to this woman. I don't even like the hooks in her songs .

Her music is catchy, and I do enjoy rap (among many other different types of music). It's easy to sing along to and so I enjoy driving to it (I always drive to Hip Hop, yet I never listen to it otherwise)
But overall, I like to look at her more than I like to listen to her music.............
I just think she's very attractive. She's got a great butt, cute face, thin waist, and a great body otherwise.
So my love for Miss Nikki really comes down to how hot I think she is. I think the same goes for Beyonce, don't like her music that much, I just think she's smokin' hot

Glad to see I'm not the only one that doesn't get it with Minaj. Was beginning to think I was alone on the island.

No real surprise Whitney Houston used cocaine just before drowning, coroner says March 23, 2012 | 7:01am Whitney Houston appears to have used cocaine "in the time period just immediately prior to her collapse in the bathtub at the hotel," said L.A. County Chief Coroner Craig Harvey. Houston,48, was determined to have accidentally drowned Feb. 11 following an apparent heart episode with cocaine as contributing factor. A 60% narrowing of Houston's arteries "suggest a cardiac event complicated by the cocaine use" that led to Houston slipping underwater, Harvey said. "Something happened that caused her to go down and we know that when she slipped under the water she was still alive," he said. Officials would not say how much of the drug was in her system. But Harvey, the coroner's operations chief, said the toxicology findings "suggested chronic usage" of the drug. David Campbell, a retired captain for the coroner's office, said a heart condition is often linked to blockages of blood flow to the heart. Use of cocaine and other narcotics would intensify the dangers, he said. Cocaine can constrict blood vessels and reduce blood flow, he said. The autopsy results were released Thursday after weeks of intense speculation over how the 48-year-old pop star died. Houston had battled drug addiction for years, and the coroner's office found traces of several drugs — including marijuana, the anti-anxiety medication Xanax, the muscle relaxant Flexeril, as well as Benadryl — in her system. But the coroner's office concluded that those drugs did not contribute to her death. A law enforcement source said no cocaine was found in Houston's room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel but that bottles of various medications were recovered. The autopsy found the singer suffered from a pre-existing condition known as atherosclerotic heart disease. Beverly Hills police said detectives will prepare a final report, due to be released in two weeks, after they review the coroner's findings. Investigators had served subpoenas on doctors, as well as at the pharmacies where Houston obtained the prescriptions they found in her hotel room. But officials said they don't believe any of the prescribed medications played a role in her death. Authorities did not say how long those drugs had been in her system. Houston was found submerged in the bathtub of her hotel room the afternoon by an assistant. Beverly Hills Fire Department paramedics performed CPR on the singer for about 20 minutes before pronouncing her dead. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2012/03/whitney-houston-death.html

I heard something in passing yesterday about all of the stuff she was taking, and how they would move her up, and down, and up and down ........ and how dangerous it is to use medications (and, obviously, illegal drugs) like that. Instead of allowing her body to find some equilibrium, she tried medicating her way to some semblance of balance, and that usually results in taxing all of the systems of a person's body, with the outcome she experienced being not that uncommon.

Come on, she's our goaltender. It's best to have the 1-minimum girl in net. It keeps guys at all the field positions. We would be undefeated if it weren't for Jim Morrison and his lazy defensive ways. MARK THE WING ATTACKER.....never does.
