I have not - but my 89 year old grandma did. If she can handle it - you can too. Best of luck.

I have not, but I've known a number of folks who did and they all did fine and were extremely happy they did it. Best wishes Daman.

Everyone I know that's had it done is amazed how much better they see, and say they wish they'd done it far sooner. Good luck!

Good luck.
As I understand it, cataracts is a fairly routine procedure. (My mom is probably going to have an eye done before too long)
The bright side is that cataracts once meant blindness ...... so surgery is a much better option than that.
Hope everything goes well.

Look at it this way, if they screw up and you come out of this blind, you were on that path anyway.

You'll be fine!

It was rather amazing actually.. the Prep time was about an hour. They put drops in your eyes to numb it and it also dyalates them (spelling)
Anyway,, once you are in the OR the actual surgery took about 6 minutes.. It was practically over before I knew it.
They cover your entire face except for a hole over the eye they will be working on.
THe do the surgery, put a patch on your eye.. Roll you out to the recovery area and about 15 minutes later, you are walking out of the building.
While the surgery is going on, you don't feel anything but some pressure.. hardly any really. And what you see is kinda like what you would expect when looking through a Kaliedascope. Lots of colors and odd shapes.. Kinda cool.
Afterward, there is a little discomfort but a couple of advil or tylenol will take care of that.
Your eye will be sensitive to light for the rest of the day,, But as of this morning my vision has cleared, no more light sensitive issues and all is right with the world.. and I can finally see out of my right eye again..
If you have a cataract,, get it done, there literally is nothing to it....

Sounds a lot like my LASIK procedure. It was kind of unsettling to smell my eyes burning though...

LOL Yeah, that would be unsettleing for sure.. No burning with Cataract surgery that I"m aware of.. at least, I didn't smell anything like that and I didn't feel any heat at all (not that you would being numbed up)

Yeah, the burning smell is actually from a chemical reaction, not your cornea burning, but its still not pleasant.
I've gotta say...the LASIK surgery was some of the best money I've ever spent.

Ditto to that. Had it done last year at this time and I could not be happier with that money spent.
