Cleveland Browns on the clock tonight at 6pm on Path to the Draft if anyone wants to watch.

Not really sure that this is thread worthy, but figured it'd get buried in the draft thread before anyone saw it.

It will be the Browns have to trade up for RG3 and give away what ever it takes but if they dont they will take Trent Richardson but he shouldnt be drafted in the top 10 lol

Usually they interview Mary Kay Cabot and that's the whole segment. Not even worth watching if you ask me.

Lombardi saying the Browns must do whatever it takes to get RG3. Makes me feel much better about Tannehill, knowing Lombardi isn/t a big fan lol.

I seriously doubt that we'll go after Tannehill. Just a gut feeling ..... and with the way my gut has grown ........ I've learned to listen to it.

I see 3 real possibilities.

1) We stick with McCoy.

2) We trade up for RG3.

3) We draft Weeden.

I don't see us as a player for Flynn as our starter. I don't see him signing somewhere right away unless he can be the undisputed starter. I don't see us bringing in a veteran at this point. I think we have our veteran in Wallace. I see us either standing pat, (unlikely) or drafting either RG3 after trading up to 2 ....... or drafting Weeden in the 2nd. (which I would consider too high, but I can see it happening ... especially since Heckert seems smitten)

Time warner and a few other cable providers don't have a deal to carry the NFL network.. By the way, it's a network totally devoted to the NFL...

My cable is included in my rent so I didn't get to pick which one...

I've had Direct TV at previous areas of living, and every time I enjoyed having NFLN for about a month then got bored with it...

Once Schefter and a few other people left I lost interest in their telecasts...

Plus during the offseason when it's not Draft/FA time the channel is almost useless...

Not sure why you say that. I enjoy it during the off-season too.

It's just the same show over and over and over... You can watch one hour and be done with it for the week practically...

I don't see a trade up happening from 4 but I can see a trade down happening. My gut says trade down is gonna happen.

With Tannehill right now his value is a solid top 10. After free agency settles that value could very well plummet. Miami and SEattle signs Flynn and Manning. Henne gets reunited with Daboll in KC. Washington and the Rams have reached a deal. 49ers and Alex Smith come to terms.

If those things play out, Heckert will take his chances and let the draft come to him. I can see him trading down and taking Cordy Genn and following up with TAnnehill at 22, receiver and DE with the 2nd and the 2nd from the trade down. Branch or Curry for DE and SAnu or Jeffery for WR.

Who knows, we could see Blackmon at 4 followed with WEeden in the 3rd. I like Weeden but I dont see anyone taking him before the 3rd. Cousins will be the the QB off the board.

I hate when analysts are asked "What should Team A (aka Cle) give up to get Random Player? (aka RG3)"

And then they say Cleveland should give up whatever it takes to get RG3!"

What does that even mean?

Did they study mac's ability to never give a straight answer?

What if St Louis asks for #4 #22 next years First, Joe Thomas and Greg Little..?

Well... whatever it takes!

Lazy.

Fear of looking stupid is the motivator. If he says 2 firsts and 2 nds and a 4th, then Browns trade up for a 2nd and a 4th well we know why he is no longer working in a front office lol.

If i am trading up 2 spots, 2 and 4 is as high as I would possibly ever go, unless I really didnt like the draft class.

I think distance between draft picks has more to do with STL than us...

If they go down to 6 in a 5 player draft, obviously they are going to get more from Washington, but may miss out on an elite prospect...

Which is why we hold the cards, we don't have to match or out bid Washington, based on our draft position...

If anything, the talk of STL trading back up to 4 after going to 6 means they'd rather just go to 4 for less probably...

I agree.... I think/thought we held all the cards when it meant trading up with rams. Now they are forced to trade with us to get who they want... they wanted 3.. 1st rd's to move up 2 spots....fair is fair hehe
