Hey guys, got a question for you, because I have never heard of this before. In the league I joined, we have 12 teams, 2 divisions of 6. The top 4 from each division go to the playoffs, yet it is the top 4 teams in the division in their division record, not overall record. I equate this to saying the Browns win all six division games, then lose every other game, going 6-10, but still going to the playoffs because they had the best division record. Is this the stupidest thing any of you have ever heard, or is this common place?

Did the commish have a reason for this? It doesnt make sense. It makes any week you play someone outside your division pointless.

Unless you only play teams in your division.

I've done a division league before like that and usually the division record is a tiebreaking factor for who would make the playoffs. Are you in the top 4 in your division?

Yeah, I'm in the top four of my division, I just think this is pretty stupid that we play teams in the other division, yet those games don't mean anything. If we only played teams in our division, well then it wouldn't matter, but I play 7 games from my division, and 7 games from the other division. I just kind of thought that was pretty stupid.
