I can see where this comment might apply to someone like "Pacman" or "RayRay", but in the case of rape or abuse of women...it doesn't apply (IMO). Sounds like a lame excuse to a Serious Problem! I don't make the decisions so my opinion doesn't matter, but I think he is a scumbag and his true colors will come out. If I were GM (which I'm clearly Not), I would have Passed on FR!...JMHO Go Brownies!!!

Conference call, huh. I'm wondering about Mary Kaye. Do you think she will feel comfortable in the same room as Frostee?I wonder if she has the strength to do a 1 on 1 with Frostee? I don't envy that poor gal one bit.
Quote: Might not be bad. Let Benard be your 3rd down pass rusher.
As far as I know, Benard was not tendered as an RFA. That would mean he's no longer on the team.
Benard is on the team, his contract didn't meet conditions, via playing time to accrue this past season, so we have him this year. It was in another thread, but I found the link to the CPD article. So he is on the team and under contract this year.
no but most of the big name guys are gone now....You know the ppl that would of gotten the fanbase excited about this team again.....Now we can go out and get a few more FA that nobody has ever heard of like Rucker and Parker.
wondering why Heckert isnt doing what is needed to help this team score points....two unknown D-linemen arent going to catch passes, and run for TD's! I watch all these other teams out there improving their teams and watch us sitting back picking up unknowns...sorry im not jumping for joy!
It's been 48 hours since FA started, I hope no one expected us to sign every possible player available and fill every need by now.
We haven't signed the big flashy players, we were told that was unlikely, but it doesn't mean we aren't lining up visits, or even have offers out to them. The players may be taking a wait-and-see approach as well before they jump at our first offer. (takes two to tango)
Hopefully we have the appropriate calls out and had discussions with those we want/like and possibly over the next week or two we will start seeing some signings on the offensive side of the ball. I am not expecting many to be honest, I think we are looking at a potential heavy draft on O, at least the early picks.
Statistics are like a bikini; what they show is interesting, but what they hide is vital. Drive for show (1st round), Putt for dough (rest of draft).
dont twist my words, i didnt expect us to go crazy, but I did expect to see us get a legit WR. Who is left out there right now that you would be excited about? even if we take blackmon and i hope we do, we still need another WR....greg little can be good but needs time.

Didn't intend to twist your words, see how it looks like I did from one perspective, not my intent at all.
Merely saying we have been in FA for 48 hours, yes some big names are off the table, but it doesn't mean we weren't in contact with them, and could be in contact with those remaining. There are still some decent O players available, have we contacted them, I don't know, have we extended contracts to them, again no idea, are the scheduled for a upcoming visit, *shurgs shoulders*. I didn't expect us to jump right out and get the top named guys, hoped we would, but knew it was unlikely. Patience is a tough thing when all the networks are talking up the other teams (not all of course) and not us, but our time and those players will come, hopefully.
The plan may be to not get much on O in FA and instead get it in the draft.
Now if Heck comes out tomorrow and says we are done signing players, then I will be wondering WTH, actually that won't be exactly what I would be wondering, rather the other letter often used at the end of that abbreviation.

Quote: j/c but how do we come into this FA period knowing we need help on the O and DO NOTHING to help improve it?
It's almost like them doing nothing in FA so far about the O, kinda signals we are going O in a major way in the Draft.. which of course, doesn't bother me at all..
