I would be happy with Blackmon and Adams at 6 and 22! And the rams still have the redskins 2nd and two future 1sts. If the Rams do this then Jeff Fisher is a very fortunate fellow.

I'm 75% sure Adams is going to bust, maybe he'll be a good RT down the line, possibly a nice Mauling guard, but I doubt he's an LT...
I considered trading up for Martin, but valued more picks more...

Vikings select: Mohamed Sanu, WR, Rutgers
Alshon came to mind to and may be faster but I believe Sanu has better hands, runs better routes and blocks much better than Jeffries. I question Jeffries commitment and his weight scares me.
Alfonzo Dennard may have been the pick if he'd not been taken a few picks earlier.
Sanus and Harvin should be a good pairing!

ah well, I gambled and lost. Figured you were the last team before me that might snag Sanu.

With the 36th pick of the 2012 Dawgtalkers Mock Draft, the New England Patriots select ...
Alshon Jeffery, WR, South Carolina.
After going defense with the first two picks, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to move up for Jeffery. With a good locker room and Bill Bellicheck on the sidelines, this is the ideal situation for Jeffery to reach his potential.
Adding 6'3 Jeffery to the small, speedy Wes Welker and the dynamic TE duo, could put this offense over the top.
*My thought behind moving up TWICE with New England, who is known for moving DOWN in the draft is this ... They're getting towards the end of Brady's career, they need to make these next 3-5 years really count and try to bring home a Super Bowl or two, so they go out and get the best talent they can by cashing in all those extra draft picks*

allright, looks like DMIC is not going to be online before I have to leave. I don't want to hold things up, so I'll send my list to C-Steve.
Since you pick 1 selection after me, just please don't open the PM until my pick comes up.
Thanks.

Tough choice here...BPA or need? With Pagano favoring a 3-4 (Mathis moves to OLB) and having read they'll be hybrid, I will go with Kendall Reyes from UConn. He'll play DE when in 3-4 and can move inside when they switch to the 4-3. I view Devon Still as a pure 4-3 DT, so I went with the 2nd rated prospect on my board. DE isn't a top 4 position of need, but I felt they'd all be too much of a reach.

I'm trying to think of a plausible scenario that would be worse with the first three pics than what you've selected thus far. Richardson is defensible even though I'm not a big proponent. Randle is not a first round NFL prospect if you look at the whole package. And a Guard at 37 to help mitigate the loss of Pashos? What?!? Ugh.

couldnt agree with you more. I guess there are ways we could muck up this draft.
If you need 3 years to be a winner you got here 2 years to early. Get it done Browns.

YES REALLY.... I am trying to DRAFT FOR OUR NEEDS not for HEY I LIKE THIS GUY... Ruben Randle is on a few First round draft mocks and from what I see can be a stellar second or a slot receiver... WE have 2 stellar CB and Safties while we could go for depth AGAIN not a proirity.. we have NO running game NOT one Hillis is gone and Hardesty can't run ( prolly bad knees before we drafted him) we LOST PASHOS and STEINBACH... out OFFENSIVE LINE IS THOMAS, MACK, LAVAUO and WHO?? Cousins? pinkston? Start thinking about what the team needs and not thinking I am drafting like crap because I pass on a person with a troubled pass ( my ORIGINAL PICK WAS GOING TO BE Branch DE Clemson but that was negated with the Rocker and parker signing) Guess what when we go to the 3rd round I am going to get the best ( drumroll please ) LB first then CB then DL/DT because ONCE AGAIN IT WHAT WE NEED!!!! CHUNG!

Would be the proper question... You drafted a Guard when we need a RT...
If it hadn't been the one team everyone here knows the needs of, it wouldn't have been an issue...

Need a RT and there is a chance Steinbach returns.Lavauo and Pinkston seemed to do O.K. Not trying to slam the pick but it seems RT was a bigger need than guard.I would have no problem with Richardson at #4.

Yes because last year we drafted Greg Little in the First and Massoquoi cannot catch and has been too inconsistent.. Greg Little has the talent to become a fantastic receiver in this league after Little who's our next sure thing Jordon Norwood??

By injury? Maybe.
But I can say with some certainty that RARELY if EVER has anyone ever drafted a Guard EXPECTING them to play Tackle...
And Little was drafted in the 2nd round.
And MoMass has pretty good hands.
Neither of those statements have anything to do with you taking someone at 22 over other players far better at his position.

We have different philosophies on the draft. Need doesn't play more than 25% ever in my mind.
It's great when they marry up but you should never force it.
Obviously you're not going to draft into a position where you have an All-pro like we have with Joe Thomas.
But the draft is where you find your long term core talent.
