if we do, we'll totally lose out on Griffin. I hear the Wizards will trade a whole bunch of draft picks to get ahead of us.

well if Washington wants the other III guy from Baylor that will go high in the draft this year, then they can have him

Earlier in the season I was "let's not tank" guy, Now I'm saying tank it.
Bring back Hollins and start him at PG.
I wonder if our buddy OSGuy wants the Cavs to keep winning meaningless games?
When we were competitive, they weren't meaningless.
Did I want the Browns to go 1-15 so we could get Luck to START the season? No not really, hell we still had a slim playoff hope, and knowing we'd probably lose in the playoffs, I still rooted to win.
Until I knew that shot was gone.
I will always root to win as long as theres a purpose to it.
I never root for the team to lose even if there is a point to it (But say had Seneca eeked out the game against Pitt or Arizona, I probably would of been pissed after the fact.)

No need to tank. The losses are going to come naturally, as we're now without 4 of the 5 best players we started the season with.
Legit question...would Anthony Davis give us 25 ppg?

I don't think so. I think it's possible at his very best he can be a 20/10 machine, if he pans out like everyone thinks he will.
I think 15/15 is doable though.

In the first quarter tonight, we missed 8 layups. Jamison missed 5 of them.
Antwan, you were a wonderful pro, but we have to put you to sleep now.

Very close. Three of the five cavs worst home defeats ALL TIME have come in the last week.

Hopefully if the Cavs can get Davis, MKG, Beal or Lamb I will be pretty happy. Then get someone like Fab Melo with the Lakers pick and the team could turn around.
Go Browns!!

With TT developing, and Andy still here...
Don't we somewhat need a SG more than a F/C? (Can Davis even play the 5?)
I get he's the best player, and if you're at 1 you take the BPA in the NBA and work it out later...
I dunno...

Nice
Good looking schedule the rest of the way. Washington (twice) and Charlotte seem like the only major threats that can hurt us in the win column.

You're over thinking like the people last year who thought Cleveland should take derrick williams and kemba walker.
Andy is a bench guy and should have little influence on who we decide to draft. I like Tristan but I would never pass on a franchise player for him.

Davis and Gilchrist-Kidd are franchise players. I hope we get one of them. If not them, then I'd love get Beal. In the NBA, sucking really really bad can sometimes be a good thing. I love Kyrie, but man do I wish we had the 1st and 4th overall pick this year instead of last year.

I like Gilchrist-Kidd's athleticism and strength but not sure if he's got any outside game...he made a few outside shots in the championship game but very flat J

With Davis he can play the 5 against anyone not named Dwight Howard. By the time this team is contending again Andy will be an old vet and would probably be used better as a trade asset (business move).
I assuming the Cavs don't get Davis but PG: Kyrie SG: Beal/SF: MKG SG/SF: Someone PF: TT C: Fab Melo
Fab Melo is a 7fter who plays good defense and with a NBA weight program should be able play good defense. Andy could be unloaded for a 1st round pick, Kyrie is the all-star, MKG/Beal and TT are the 2nd options, and Fab could play a Tyson Chandler like role.
If the luck of the gods is on Cleveland Side it could be: PG: Kyrie SG: SF: PF: TT C: Davis
and with the Lakers pick take the best shooter available maybe in a crazy world Lamb/Perry Jones drops doubtful but I'm dreaming.
Go Browns!!

Between Oden and Davis, I think Oden was the better college player, and had more potential going into the league.. Give me the guy with the power any day over a toothpick like Davis.. That's the one thing that I think could limit Davis is his weight..220lbs isn't a whole lot to go against power forwards and centers.. That one Vandy center overpowered Davis the few times I seen him play..Sure he could add some, but he seems the type of guy that will have a hard time bulking up.. Sort of like KG, or Camby..

I like MKG, but I think he has some bust factor.. That's the thing with 1 and done, and the nba draft. It's all based on potential.. It's really hard to gauge players only on 1 year.. I remember 7 years ago, Marvin Williams was sort of similar to an MKG.. Enormous athleticism, and upside, who played 1 year on a national championship team. I think he went 2 to the Hawks that year over Paul and Williams. That's what you have to find out or guess on.. Can guys that were 2nd and 3rd options on great College teams, be the 1st or 2nd options on nba teams.

also please remember that people thought the Hawks were nuts to draft him over Paul.
just like people thought Shelden Williams going #5 was crazy.
watching MKG, he might have some bust factor, sure all players do. but, man is he smooth, athletic, energetic, just about everything you want

The biggest difference between Williams is motor. MKG has a ridiculous motor.

Also it amazes me that people think Griffin is better than Love. I just dont see it. Funner to watch sure but not better. I feel like Griffin has gotten worse as the season has gone on.

They are two very different players. Griffin is a monster who demoralizes opponents with his thunderous dunks, while Love is a complete player who doesn't make too many highlight reels.
If you put Griffin on the T-Wolves and Love on the Clippers I don't think you would see much of a change in wins and losses. Just IMO.

Love has been awesome to watch this year. Call me crazy but I think Kahn has that thing going in the right direction.

with Rubio + Love you are in for some fun basketball. i'm not sure it's winning basketball though (defense is the strength of neither)
they need Derrick Williams to be able to prove he can play SF they need Pekovic to stay healthy they need Wesley, Webster or Ellington to emerge at SG
and they need to figure out how to play team defense since they don't really have the parts to play individual defense.
but, they have the coach (Adelman), they have the goto scorer (Love), and the creator (Rubio). solid corps, should be an interesting team, but I don't think they ever become a real contender.
