The voice screaming "help" on the 911 call was not George Zimmerman's voice.

That being the case, and given that the cry for help was followed closely by the fatal shot, I see no way that Zimmerman isn't. at least, arrested and charged in the shooting.

Voice Heard Screaming On 911 Tape Is Not Trayvon Martin Shooter George Zimmerman, Expert Says | Fox News
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/04/01/voi...orge-zimmerman/

An expert in forensic voice identification analyzing the 911 recordings in the Trayvon Martin case for the Orlando Sentinel tells the paper that it is likely not Martin’s shooter, George Zimmerman, heard calling for help.

Tom Owen used voice identification software to rule out Zimmerman, according to the paper. Another expert contacted by the Sentinel, utilizing different techniques, came to the same conclusion.

Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, shot Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old, during a confrontation Feb. 26.

On that night, a woman called 911 to report someone crying out for help in her gated Sanford, Fla., community. While several other neighbors also called authorities, the first call came early enough for dispatchers to hear panicked cries and the gunshot that killed Trayvon Martin.

According to the Sentinel, Owen, a court-qualified expert witness, is an authority on biometric voice analysis -- a computerized process comparing attributes of voices to determine whether they match.

"I took all of the screams and put those together, and cut out everything else," Owen said, according to the Sentinel.

Software called Easy Voice Biometrics was used to compare that audio to Zimmerman's voice. It returned a 48 percent match. Owen said to reach a positive match with audio of this quality, he'd expect higher than 90 percent.

"As a result of that, you can say with reasonable scientific certainty that it's not Zimmerman," Owen said, stressing that he cannot confirm the voice as Trayvon's because he didn't have a sample of the teen's voice to compare.

Can the software identify a voice when some is shrieking / screaming? I don't know. Just wondering out loud. Regular conversation, absolutely.

And again....why is this crap coming out? All of this is going make a case for an unfair trial legit if Zimmerman is guilty. Geeze...the publicity hounds need to go crawl back under their rocks and let the special prosecutor do her job.

From a recording off a telephone of an even taking place outside a glass window.

Not saying it can't work, but I've talked to people on the phone and even though I knew who I was talking to, I would have sworn it wasn't them.

Now there is enhanced video showing a cut on the back of Zimmerman's head.

http://gma.yahoo.com/george-zimmerman-vi...topstories.html

In all honesty - I wish the press would publish simply the facts. Actually - I wish the press would actually let law enforcement do their job. The facts of the case are known by the police, the prosecutor, the state, and probably the FBI. Let them do their thing.

Shoot, at first they made it sound like zimmerman hunted martin down and shot him and wasn't even questioned.

The media is hyping this story for everything they can get out of it.

The police report specifically states that when the cops arrived, Zimmermans back was wet and covered with grass and that he was bleeding from the nose and the back of his head and first aid was administered by the fire department... this "enhanced video" is pretty much meaningless.

Oh Boy....What's reverend Al going to do now since that was his smoking gun. He hyped that video up one side and down the other and now, once again, may be looking like opportunistic, race baiting fool he truly is ala Duke case.

And another thing....how can an activist have his own show on a "news" outlet like MSNBC? <end sarcasm> HA! No need to reply!!!

Yeah - the "enhanced" video is meaningless. Except for those that saw the original and said "hey, ain't no cuts there".

Yeah, the enhanced video means nothing. The police report trumps all - wouldn't it be neat if the media reported on the actual FACTS of the case - instead of the race of the case?

I also believe that there are some rogue cops out there who would falsify a statement for their own reasons, I doubt its common but I'm sure it happens.. however in this case, you would have to believe that multiple cops and firemen all agreed to falsify a statement for the sole reason of protecting a mexican neighborhood watch guy with a record..... and I find that much harder to believe...

Just the facts ma'am...

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/tray...-175656087.html

A partially redacted police report detailing the initial investigation in the Feb. 26 shooting death of Trayvon Martin has surfaced.

Reuters reporter Matthew Keys first posted scanned copies of the report to his Twitter account. As the Chicago Tribune noted, the report contains details that conflict with several rumors surrounding the case.

The report states that George Zimmerman's gun "was placed into evidence" and not returned to him, and the scene of the shooting was secured with crime scene tape. This directly conflicts with statements made by civil rights activists, including Rev. Jesse Jackson, who had claimed the Sanford, Fla., police department "didn't even bother to put yellow tape around the murder scene when he died—that's how much the police did to find out what happened to this young boy."

[ SEE THE POLICE REPORT ]

After officers discovered Martin's body, the report states that they unsuccessfully attempted to revive him.

According to the report, Sanford police spent more than seven hours at the scene. They interviewed six witnesses, whose names were redacted from the report. The partial report contains information from the first two officers to arrive at the scene.

The first to arrive was officer Timothy Smith. From Smith's report:

"While I was in such close contact with Zimmerman, I could observe that his back appeared to be wet and was covered in grass, as if he had been laying on his back on the ground. Zimmerman was also bleeding from the nose and back of his head."

"Zimmerman was placed in the rear of my police vehicle and was given first aid by the SFD. While the SF was attending to Zimmerman, I overheard him state, 'I was yelling for someone to help me, but no one would help me.' At no point did I question Zimmerman about the incident that had taken place."

From officer Ricardo Ayala, the second to arrive:

"I attempted to get a response from the black male, but was met with negative results. At that time, Sgt. Raimondo arrived and attempted to get a pulse from the black male but none was found. At that time, Sgt. Raimondo and I turned the black male over and began CPR. Sgt. Raimondo did breaths and I did chest compressions."

"Sgt. McCoy arrived and relieved me continuing compressions. Sanford Fire Rescue arrived on scene and attempted to revive the subject but could not. Paramedic Brady pronounced the subject deceased at 1930 hours."

"The scene was then secured with crime scene tape by Ofc. Mead and Ofc. Wagner. Ofc. Robertson began a crime scene contamination log. Lt. Taylor arrived on scene and notified dispatch to have Major Crimes responds to the scene."

"Ofc. Mead and Ofc. Wagner were able to make contact with neighbors in the area. They were able to obtain statements from all witnesses on scene."

"The scene was turned over to SPD Major Crimes."

Wasn't it nbc that did a show about gas tanks on gm pickups? How they explode in an accident - except, they couldn't get them to explode, so they hooked up a toy rocket engine to the gas tank so they could get the film they wanted? Wasn't it nbc?

Well it is all about ratings...

News should be a public service and not dependent on the revenue it may generate. But since they run news so many times a day now, they must need it to generate revenue since they can't seem to create regular programming that will draw viewers.

Here, the local morning news starts at 4am, runs repeatedly until 7am (every half hour is a repeat of the last), then it we have it again at 4:30pm, 5pm, 6pm, 11pm, and a couple of them (Fox, CW) run additional news at 5pm and 10pm as well.

So I'm taking it this is the reason every network in America jumped off the TM ship and on to the next great story?
Yup, sooo glad a news network got caught framing a guy up for a ratings boost.
I pray to god regardless of the outcome, Zim sues the living hell out of them for libel and slander.

I still think that Zimmerman should pay a price for the fact that he created the very circumstance that caused him to "stand his ground". I do not think that this was in any way the intent of the law. I think that he could well be guilty of manslaughter, even if probably not murder.

I do think that the media definitely hyped this case in ways that they should not have, and doctoring audio and such is despicable.

SO i guess until then, I will just watch people on this board try to justify a stranger coming up to /following a minor, and then kill the minor and hid his cowardly butt behind a law that is for self defense if a person is being attacked not initiating contact first!!..LMAO!!

Where are you seeing this? I think the contention here is let the people who actually know the facts do their job. There isn't one person on this board who knows what happened. I don't think anyone here has said Zimmerman is innocent. I am certainly not. I'm saying all the rating pub hounds, race baiting gravy trainers (Al and Jessie) and "news organizations" with agendas need to shut up and stop racing to a judagment and let the special prosecutor do the job so when / if this guy goes to trial, he gets a fair one and if found guilty, gets what is coming to him.

SANFORD, Fla. (WKMG) - The city of Sanford is preparing for the outcome of the special prosecutor's decision about George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman who shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin but has not been charged.

Sanford Mayor Jeff Triplett said on Thursday that the city's emergency management team has met regularly with the U.S Department of Justice to construct a plan. Officials said extra police officers and fire department officials are on standby. Neighboring agencies have also been asked to assist, if needed.

"You always prepare for the worst and hope for the best," Triplett said. "We're planning for the 'what-if' case scenario, and that would be to make sure that all of our citizens get the protection they pay their taxes for."

Triplett noted that previous protests have been peaceful, and he hopes that trend continues.

"Those that would like to make this a defining moment for the city of Sanford are wrong, and we just have to make sure that we do a good job of making sure that that's not our lasting image," Triplett said.

It's not known when Angela Corey, a state attorney appointed as the special prosecutor by Gov. Rick Scott, will make a ruling.

Residents said they feel the pressure of the decision looming over the community.

"Sanford is still a good little town," said Jimbo Carter of McRoberts Auto Center. Carter has been working at the auto center in Sanford for 30 years and he said the outcome of the decision could hurt the town.

"Yeah, I'm worried if he's not charged (that) we're gonna have trouble in this town," Carter said.

But Tommy Oliver, who was born and raised in Sanford, said he isn't concerned at all.

"People march, but this a new day and age and not too much is going to happen," Oliver said.

Zimmerman, 28, hasn't been arrested or charged in the Feb. 26 shooting death of Martin, sparking outrage across the nation.

Zimmerman claims the shooting was in self-defense after he was attacked by Martin. Martin's parents say their son was the victim of an attack fueled by racial profiling.

Well it's good to know that you've made up your mind and that if he's not arrested, tried, convicted and sentenced that its all just a big racial plot orchestrated and carried out by the Sanford police, the FBI, the special prosecutor....

And he's not hiding behind any law yet, he won't have to figure out his defense until he's officially charged. At this point right now, the special prosecutor and her team are determing if/how the laws are applied.

You, like many other people, seem to have your horse chasing the cart down the street.

Hopefully the "leaders" who have inflamed this as a race issue - well before any facts were known - will address the public asking them to remain civil after the arrest/non-arrest occurs.

Man that's exactly what I was taking away from that article as well. they already know that they aren't going to charge him at this time so they are preparing for riots in the street.

Does anyone actually think that the police, justice departement, city officials etc, have anything to gain by letting this guy go? I gotta believe that if they had a shredd of evidence, he'd get arrested and then we go from there....

They may have a "shred" but once you arrest somebody it sets the wheels in motion so I'm guessing they are hoping to have more than a shred before they go to arrest him.

And no, I doubt that with all of the people involved and all of the exposure that this is some grand conspiracy.. it's just illogical. If anything, if they thought they had enough to arrest him, I would expect them to arrest him, even if they thought he would be found not guilty, that way they place the burden on the attorneys and they can say, "It was just our job to arrest him, which we did... it's not our fault that they blew it."

Absolutely no doubt.
If they had a case, they'd have arrested him.... this means that there just is not a case, or they are working on building one.

Until then, this is all just a gross case of being tried in the court of public opinion.
For the poster above that says that he needs to be arrested and convicted... I ask: Based upon what evidence? Not feelings or "I think" 's.. what evidence do you base this upon?

If there is nothing but supposition and guessing to go on, sorry, you cannot not arrest nor convict on that.

On a side note, I read a really great opinion piece this morning asking where the national outrage is over the murder of Eve Carson. It puts this whole dog-n-pony show into perspective, IMO.

You'll have to excuse me but I live here and I wonder what there is to show outrage over... Eve Carson was, by all accounts, a great young girl who was brutally murdered by two thugs... they were caught and both will take every breath for the rest of their lives in prison...

Or am I just supposed to be outraged that very few cases get the same attention as a case like this?

Pretty much the latter.... or, pick the senseless murder of any other person. I'm sure that a dozen just like hers happen daily and the killers don't get caught.

Why the outrage over THIS death? What's the big deal about Trayvon?

Yeah, I buy into that theory all the way.

Here's the thing, they may not feel they have enough to arrest much less convict him at "THIS TIME", but that doesn't mean they won't keep looking. If something else comes to light, they could arrest him then..

the problem is, and I'm doing my best to not sound racist here, but jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and some others are going at this like the Zimmerman guy is guilty. they are NOT presuming he is innocent which is a requirement of the legal community. so the Jacksons or Sharptons and the like, are just insighting people....

Honestly, (And I know this will sound racist) I think/believe that people that stand up and insight riots with thier rhetoric should be held accountable for thier actions if damage, injury or death occurs..

Won't happen, but I think it should..

That's not to say that they should be gagged, but use some freakin common sense,, not every white guy is out to get the black guy..

Boy, do I expect to get beat on over that last comment....LOL
