There will be a Columbus area one. There's a thread for it in "Everything Else."

My House!! Can't say I have ever been this excited about a draft..Partly because I firmly believe this draft will be the key to making us a contender year in and year out and change the identity and complexion of this franchise on a national level as well as allowing us to look forward to competitive football again on a weekly basis. I think with the draft, having an off season, and a year to develop with the addition of Childress and our experienced coaches will pay huge dividends. I know a positive outlook is not popular on here but after this draft and this year we will be either in contention or a piece away. I have to wear shades.

I wouldn't want to go to your party because you will probably be a buzz kill when we don't take Burfict at 4.

As long as we don't take Tannehill at 4 or David anywhere there will be a buzz...

If anyone wants to come to my 7 AM thailand party they are welcome.

Otherwise it will be me, a cup of coffee, and my incredulous girlfriend.

See y'all in the chat

I'll just sit here and watch. I'll probably log in to chat to hear half talk about how great the pick was and half talking about how it sucked.

No.

No.

No.

You'll hear how the pick sucked.

Or how it was the best thing going.

How we should have traded up.

How we should have traded down for some ridiculous offer that was never made, but was opined by some guy living in his mother's basement that somehow got picked up on twitter.

How we did OK, but could have done better.

How the world will end because we didn't take (player).

How the world will end because we took (player).

What was the front office thinking?

This front office rules!

We robbed 'em.

We got robbed.

And any of 100 other variations.

I will (hopefully) be watching with my then 38 1/2-week pregnant wife, but there's a shot I won't even get to watch it at all!

hospitals have televisions

lots of sitting around waiting for that one big moment and then being over-run with emotion when it comes (i'll leave it to you to decide if that was talking about the birth or the draft pick )

(and no, you should not even jokingly suggest having the draft on the television. you would never live that down, just sneak glances at your phone when you are off getting ice chips like the rest of husbands do)

My son was born on 12/8/2002 - the day we beat the Jaguars with a last second Hail Mary. My ex-wife was in la la land because of the epidural so I got to watch most of the game.

You are just going to have to let her know men can multi-task as well. Tell her if she doesn't shut up, you'll take a picture with your phone and post it on the net.

If you would have trained her right she would know she is not allowed to go into labor till after the draft.

I woulda said "I'm going to watch the draft. I can either do it in the delivery room, or I'll do it at home and you can call me and let me know what we had."

It's like the wimpy guy watching the movie while the game is on "because she wants to". There are any number of other hours in the week where we can watch a movie together. Sunday from 1-midnight is not going to fall into that time.

Any questions why I never got married? LOL Some see being set in my ways and doing what I want as a negative. I beg to differ.

First off, in case I didn't say it before, congrats.

Secondly, our second is due in June. When I was scheduling quarterly meetings for work, I told the guys that I might not be able to make it if we're having the baby. The universal response was "what the heck, you're not having the baby." That was followed by laughs and "congratulations."

But, your case is different. The draft is much more important than work and is certainly more important than having a child. I mean, you can always make another kid, you can't always watch the 2012 draft!

Oh everybody in my family knows I won't attend a wedding, funeral, or any other event if there is a Browns game on. My daughter even planned her wedding this year to occur before football season starts. She said she wanted to make sure I would be there for her wedding
