wondered if anybody here has had spinal fusion surgery in the past.

my fiance will be getting one here very shortly; however, she'll only be 19 when it goes down. (very very young for this i know). i had a 45 y/o or so uncle who had this but also had a shattered pelvic bone repaired so i dont wanna judge how her recovery will go off of his.

any thoughts/tips/whatever is appreciated

My thoughts are to get a second, third and perhaps fourth opinions. Good luck to her.

I have had the surgery where they snip the disc, actually I had it twice and I am all messed up from just that. I told them to stick the fusion up their ass and I wasn't having it done, but I am looking at it again as a possibility My sister had it done recently and the recovery is very painful and takes a while. We won't know results for at least 6 months to a year. Pit had it done too on the board last year, either him or P I get the names confused
