That would be priceless!

Can you imagine the look on the Phins faces if Browns trade down with Bills pick up 2nd and 3rd then trade that 3rd to the Jags to move back to 7 lmao.

Ultimately, I won't be a bit surprised if 1-6 plays out just as it's always been thought.

Citing a source with knowledge of the situation, NFL Network’s Steve Wyche reports that LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne is the No. 1 player on the Vikings’ draft board, and they are “leaning toward” drafting Claiborne with the No. 3 overall pick in the draft.

Per Wyche, the Vikings also “like [Claiborne] more” than USC tackle Matt Kalil.

So the Vikings take Claiborne, that leaves us the option of taking Richardson or trading down to a team that wants to select Kalil. We would probably have to trade down to pick #10 with the Bills. Do you do it?

Negative, unless it includes another first.

I think they are offering the #10 and #41.

I think it would be a huge mistake to make our first pick without getting Luck, Griffin, Richardson, or Blackmon.

I'm with you. If Kalil is sitting there and a team wants to trade with us, I ask for a freakin' king's ransom. It would have to include at least a first next year, if not more.

Now, if the team is the Rams or the Bucs and we'd still likely be able to get one of our top guys, maybe my price goes down a bit.

But if it's a team like the Bills who want us to drop to 10, thereby likely missing out on one of our top guys, we'd better get some great compensation.

JMHO

*Edit* I still think the Vikings are going to take Kalil.

Agreed that if Kalil is there, you hold that pick for ransom.

You're going to have teams wanting to jump ahead of Tampa Bay for Richardson.

Teams wanting to jump ahead of St. Louis for Blackmon

Teams wanting to come up for Kalil.

Considering I like Michael Floyd better than Blackmon, if Buffalo gives us #10, #41 and next years first, I take that, go to 10, pick Floyd and be happy

In that case, you'd be looking at the Top 9 probably being something like

1. Luck
2. RGIII
3. Claiborne
4. Kalil
5. Richardson
6. Blackmon
7. Floyd
8. Tannehill
9. Cox, maybe?

That'd be worst case scenario. If that happened, I'd probably take Reiff at 10.

Getting cute like that would backfire in obvious and long remembered proportions. This is Cleveland, you have heard of " only in Cleveland" you know any misstep is epic and we are always suprised at how we messed up in an entirely new way.
Helmut throw, drive, fumble, wide right, now this , this would backfire. I think,

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

This. With three guys that other teams could be looking to move up for, you see what the pick could bring. I agree that next year's 1st is a must. I read a post where it was reported that Buffalo was offering this year's 2nd to move from #10 to #3. Good luck with that. No way Minny drops that far for just a second. That 2nd round pick might get Buffalo to #7. Might.

Adam Scheffer just reported that the Jags, Bills, Eagles, Packers, Patriots & Chargers are all looking to move up.

Also, on a side note-The Giants just signed Shaun Rogers

If Kalil is there you trade the pick for a king's ransom, and if you can't get it, you take him. Doesn't matter if its a need pick or not. You don't pass on a blue chipper like that. You can trade him ten minutes later or play him on the right side.

Trade with them, get a 2nd.

Colts - Luck
Skins - RGIII
Bucs (trade) - Richardson
Jags (trade) - Blackmon
Vikings (trade) - Kalil

Then we're left with our pick of Claiborne or a guy like Michael Floyd.

Ahh, the possibilities keep coming!

if that happens and the Browns take Barron, then it would be hilarious seeing this place explode!

The Vikings are now playing the game where they are trying to pick up on rumors, rumors which indicate which players certain potential trade partners really want, then hurry up and leak out a rumor that they have always secretly loved that player.

It's hysterical.

There'll be another Vikings rumor or two before the first round gets here. They effectively have the #1 pick in the draft right now, at least in terms of holding all the keys to the cars. They are doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing. Only thing they did wrong was to let it be known they really want to trade. Shoulda kept that one close to the vest.

Maybe it was a smokescreen and they never really wanted to trade at all...

Shh....

Think about it.

I just hope that we can get somebody who is a playmaker. With all of these high draft picks since '99, we still don't have very many clutch playmaker or depth; and we are near the bottom of the league in offensive skill positions.

Amazing

Jags/Browns trade rumors were hot and heavy a month or so ago and have really heated up again this week. This rumor may have legs.

Same here. Both have some guys I like and a couple guys a can't stand.

I am leaning toward NFL Network but recording both to go back and watch the other's assessment of our picks.

I'll probably flip back and fourth between NFLN and ESPN or whichever group of anchors are least annoying.

Pretty good pre draft show on STO right now although, Bruce Drennan is slightly more annoying than his usual self tonight.
