Every draft there's the moments that make everyone say "Ooooh!"
What do you think these moments are tonight?
Here's mine :
1. Michael Floyd is drafted ahead of Justin Blackmon 2. Dolphins pass on Ryan Tannehill at #8. 3. Vikings take Claiborne and Browns take Kalil.
What do you guys say?

1. Mel Kiper shows up with his hair down in bangs. 2. Tannehill doesn't go in the first. 3. If #1 happens, nothing will surprise me!
(Thought I'd go out on a long limb with 1 and 2!)

Brockers is the first DT taken Lamar Miller goes in the 1st round M.Sanu goes in the 1st round Poe drops to the 20s Bama has 4 guys taken in the top14 (Richardson, Upshaw, Barron, Kirkpatrick). 5 in the top20 (+Hightower).
and my big, noone is expecting it, so it just might happen because he's not really very good anyway:
Coples drops out of the 1st round.

I'll stick with my post in the Draft Day Prediction thread... - We don't pick at #4 or #22 - New England trades UP in the draft this year

Steelers take a QB and he'll pan out, eventually be Big Ben's replacement, and their franchise guy for a long time.

which means that at least for the next several years, he is a complete waste on their roster spot and blocked from playing

TopDawg - The Dolphins not taking Tannehill would not surprise me.
CBFAN - When I 1st read you post I read "bangs" as Dreads as in dreadlocks. Yikes.
My surprise prediction - Stephan Hill WR GT goes top ten.
How about this one. 5 Qb's go in the 1st round.

I'm not a fan of Tannehill at #4 but I would take him in a second at #22.
Doubt the Browns would let him get past that pick but I could be wrong.

Another question. Who's gonna be the guy who slides ala Quinn?
My surprise. Rex Ryan throws his whole draft at Minnesota to get Richardson.

Other than Tannehill, is Coples still high profile enough to be a surprise slider? Kalil sliding out of the top 7 or 8 would shock me . . .

Obviously Luck and RGIII. I am guessing Tannehill, Brockweiler and Weeden - in that order. I doubt that this happens but then again we are trying to predict 1st round surprises and I think this would surprise most everyone.

There is always a top guy that slides, could very well be tannehill. Would love to see him slide all the way to 22.

Biggest surprise?
The Browns actually do the right thing and draft Richardson at 4 and the best valued WR or RT at 22.
Browns fans everywhere are stunned that we've had a first round that we can;t b**ch about.

Just curious, if he gets passed us and the Dolphins at #8... where in the teens would you start thinking about moving up to take him? Looking through the mocks there is no obvious fit for him after the Dolphins but there are a couple of "maybes"... Fortunately the Dolphins don't pick again until 42 so they probably don't have the ammo to jump back up into the teens without dipping into next year, which I doubt they would do.. so do you sit and wait or do you try to move up into the teens from 22?

After Miami, I'd believe Kansas City at 11 or Seattle at 12 also make sense.

Didn't Seattle sign Matt Flynn to be the starter? I'd be surprised if they drafted Tannehill.

Good point forgot about that.... There's no reason to believe Kansas City shouldn't be really interested in him though. Matt Cassell isn't taking you to the promised land.

I would be very surprised if Tannehill made it past #11, whether it is because one of the teams drafts him or another trades up. If he makes it past 15, we'll trade up and give up a 3rd IMO.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

1) Tannehill does not go in the top 25. 2) Weeden goes before him. 3) Browns trade down from 4 and 22. Browns might even trade down twice from 4. 4) Kendall Wright falls out of the first round. 5) Vikings do draft Matt Kalil.

He could be this years Aaron rogers. I think we would start looking to move up using a 3rd.

For the first time ever, Mel Kiper correctly mocks more than half the first round correctly.

the Redskins are still hung over from celebrating their trade with the Rams (Snyder throws one heck of a part) and do not get their card in on time. The Vikings quickly turn in the card for RGIII and deliver him back to the Redskins for an additional 2 1st round picks.
the NFL institutes a Stepien Rule for Snyder after the draft so no owner can be as dumb as him again.

Micheal Floyd is drafted by the dolphins at # 8.

If Minnesota takes Claiborne ( Which I predict they will. Seeing they are in the north with Johnson, Marshall, Finley and others they need a corner) I can see Matt Kalil drop out of the ton 10 possibly. If that DOES happen that would be Great for the Browns because the other OT slide too which means at 37 Martin might be there

I think it happened two years. One time I think more than 1 team jumped them. Maybe not remembering right, though
