Phil said: Rueben Droughns was expendable.
He said we were going to trade for Seth Mckinney before we got Fraely when Lecharles got hurt. haha We were about to trade for this guy and he hurts his neck and is out a season. *L*
Phil sounded like he is a bigger fan of the Pro Days than the combine.
Phil said we are pretty much done, until the draft.
Phil said today was a "tape day" and he was gonna go watch film.

Yeah does sound like were done.... I think this was a very good FA period for us. Got a all-pro guard, starting de, potential/depth in a c/g, potential/depth cb, and potential/depth olb.

Hope we can get our all pro T in draft, namely Joe Thomas.

Thanks for the link. yeah, it does appear as though we're done in FA, although, ya never know? I'd say Peterson, Russell appear to be tops on our draft list but then again could be smoke screen hoping that Thomas is sitting at the No. 3 pick.
I really see our pick as being one of those 3 guys, the other possibilty is Calvin Johnson. Phil said that Tim Carter brings an element of speed that we didnt' have, now I know he's saying good things about Carter because he's a Brown but still, I think he realizes that our WR corp is not 100% set in stone.

NRTU I like his story about Russell at 14. Apparently he was at Savage's football camp back then, at 6' 4" 180lbs...at the end, they had a contest to see who could throw the farthest. Russell threw the ball 74 yards...14 years old. That's kinda sickening, *L*

Yup, he said all of that and talked highly of Jamarcus Russell at his pro day.. also said that at midnight tomorrow, if Cinci doesn't match the offer, then we get another Smith for the D line besides Robaire...LOL
He thought he would have Robaire Smith done sometime today..
