I picked no only because it was 22.

Had we grabbed a RT or WR, then came and picked him at 37 I maye have been "ok" with it...

Right now I dunno...

Same here, but I suppose if we had to pick a QB after the top 2 picks, he'd be my pick.

I'm on the fence... intially I hated the pick because it was at 22.... i thought it'd be 37... which really isn't that much farther down... and if Heckertt felt he wouldn't be there and he was gonna be our man then I'm okay with the pick.

I don't care much about his age... but that means he has less time to develop... what I worry about is his lack of experience under center.

but from what i've read in the last 5 hours is that he's a pretty smart guy and quick learner.

I voted no. I like Weeden as a prospect but his age is a major negative. I just can't see taking a guy that old in the 1st round. I think if he was 3 or 4 years younger i would be ok with it.

Yes.

Any receiver we were targeting is going to still be there at #37.

Everyone is saying we should have gone WR there, but there won't be a WR taken today before we pick.

Unless you think we should have taken A.J. Jenkins, I don't understand the argument.

A pick that removes Colt McCoy from the playing field and replaces him with a guy who actually has an arm gets a huge, enormous, gigantic, and enthusiastic "YES!" from me.

Most people on this board are usually happy with our picks, and they don't work out.

I like that no one likes the Weeden pick.

Was a little worried at first, and now coming around on it. The way the draft played out with the players at the tackle and receiver positions, I think we are in really good shape to get a player that maybe we coveted at 22 anyways...

The age worries me like everyone else, however nothing else about that guy does. He can make all the throws, he's a good leader, he's going to have a freaking animal behind him at running back, and he has the best LT in the game to protect him.

I haven't always agreed with everything the Browns have done, but as far as who they draft I will always get behind them and give them a shot.

I said yes because, why not? I hate to see us struggle, and while I'm very passionate about the Browns, I really try not to let them ruin my life too much.

People have to forget about the age Warner was 28 when he came to nfl. The guy was rated better than Tannehill by some experts if it wasnt for his age. We probably could have gotten him in the second but he is ours now

60-40 in favor of. I didn't expect that.

I wonder if the fanbase realizes how much risk there is in this selection...

***Gordon, I really didn't think you could be this stOOpid, but you exceeded my expectations. Wussy.

Reading the boards immediately after the pick you would have thought that a poll would be 1-99 against.

I think that I was the only one happy about the pick posting on the boards when je was drafted.

Mostly in favor,, I wonder,, is it that people actually think Weeden is the savior or they got thier wish to scapegoat McCoy?

You must be talking about Joe Haden. Or someone they did not, but could have, drafted.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

DJ liked him and I had him mocked to us at 22, but of course I would have liked to get him later, but I could say that about most any pick we make

So many are hung up on his age, because he might not play for us for 10 years, well his selection does not preclude us from drafting a QB in the next 8 years to replace him. If we didn't Draft him we would be at square 1 and be in the same boat next year. this pick will allow the team to be a year ahead in their development if he works out and this time next year we will be a year farther along and not necessarily in the market for a QB.

I say necessarily, because if a great prospect was to fall in our lap (not likely unless we end up with the first pick in 2013) who knows.

We'll probably be in the same boat next year. I'd say our ceiling is 5-6 wins, 7 if we get extremely lucky.

If I had to wager a guess, I'd say we'll be drafting another QB within the next 2-3 years.

Yea, I thought we were going to have to post a suicide watch shortly after the selection. I'm not surprised that some people were against it... but I was shocked at the "end of the world" posts that I saw...

Because I wasn't on the board

I was at the bar watching the draft, cheering while other Browns fans were booing
