If he turns out to be good, he can be "King Crimson" (T Richardson should like that). If he turns out to be totally immobile in the pocket, as some have said he is, he can be "Crimson King", as in the species of maple tree.

Judging by the overall reaction on this board, you guys should call him "The Reach".

Ummmmm... how about we let him actually EARN a nickname?

Until then, try this one: "Rookie" or "New Kid" or "Hey, try not to be a BUST".

Just sayin'.

You know how anybody in sports with the "oo" sound in their name gets it chanted when they do something good? Like "Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuke"...

Can you imagine 75,000 fans chanting in a really high voice like the pig in the Geico commerical? "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeden"

Personally, the nickname I want most for him in a couple of years is "champ".

Well, I meant I hope that we can call him "champ", as in "champion" ........ as in "Super Bowl Winning QB" type ...........

If he starts 15 games and DOESN'T throw 20 INTs, he's a rookie ProBowler...I mean seriously? He threw 13 INTs in 13 College games...everyone knows he's a gunslinger and I fully expect him to throw 20-26 INTs this season...if half of those are 30+ yds downfield though I don't really have a problem with it...it's like throwing under 6yds/PA and punt it after 3 downs aka the "Colt way"

Oh and btw, I have the best nickname for Weeden...pretty easy one for an Italian....after Testaverde, we just call him:

Testarossa

Alternatives: Redheaded Stepdad (as many on here will root for him as if he's not their real dad, lol) or Prince Harry (Prince Henry of Wales)

If he sucks, we can go Wendy Weeden (from Wendy's) or Bozo "the Clown" Weeden

We could have kept DA if that's all you wanted.... and I know you are just throwing out numbers.. but how often really does the ball usually fly 30 yards downfield?
