Impossible! ESPN hates the Indians!
It's just one guy ... and he's probably been put on administrative leave as we type.

That means the left 30 men on base in the series. What a job by the pitching staff.
... that being said, please, please, please STOP WALKING PEOPLE
This will cost us winnable games.

Tomorrow night we play the White Sox for what seems like the 25th time this year, and face John Danks for the 5th time since the opener in April. In the meantime, we don't see the Yankees or the Orioles until late June.

Reds will once again try to move into first place today... As a Redlegs fan living in Braves and Cardinals Country, there is nothing I like more than beating the Bravos and being ahead of the Whiney Birds in the standings... Unfortunately, it seems like every time the Reds win, the Cards win too. Maybe tonight will be the night.
It's hard to believe St. Louis is still hanging on without Larussa, without Pujols, with Wainright a shell of his former self after TJ, and now without Berkman...

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..............
we have the worst division in MLB. why would we want to play teams outside of it more often? let's take every advantage we can, ok.

And without Carpenter, gotta give them a ton of credit though. They made some nice additions with Furcal and Beltran who are playing like they're 25 again, and you've still got Holliday.
Those 3 have done a nice job of holding things together but you have to wonder when health will become a factor for them, it usually does at some point.

Craig is hurt too. I guess that's just sort of par for the course with him though. He's their Grady Sizemore - well, about 2 yrs ago since they still have hope with him (so much potential, but so many injuries)

Yeah, I agree. it's got to catch up with them at some point. Beltran can't possibly keep up at this pace. Mets fans must be fuming right now... not that they haven't been overachieving themselves. But Beltran couldn't stay healthy for them all those years, and now he's doing this in St. Louis. But they were starting to scuffle a little before the San Diego series. They may have had a brief reprieve with the Friars, but I have a feeling the wheels are about to come off against Philly.

I haven't looked yet, but I'd be shocked if he isn't a lefty.

"Verlander fantastic, but it got wasted."
Not "But Masterson better."
Nope. Those silly Indians should be lucky to be on the same field!

I can't blame them after we collapsed last year. If we're making noise at the beginning of July then things should change.

Yeah. We were 30-15 at this point last season, best record in baseball. Tigers were something like 12 games out. We all know how the season finished up.
I'm happy as heck that the Indians are doing well, but they've gotta prove that they belong.

Right. Choo couldn't have possibly hit that HR without Verlander's impecable command and pinpoint control in placing the baseball in the exact spot and at the exact speed to hit his bat squarely.

reminds me of the old Herb Score line when those young fireballers would come up and give up too many HRs:
100MPH to the plate, 125MPH to the bleachers

Maybe someone can explain to me why we keep Damon on the roster and march him out there night after night.
I mean... I guess I just don't get it considering his high batting average and Howitzer for an ARM...
***Gordon, I really didn't think you could be this stOOpid, but you exceeded my expectations. Wussy. Manziel, see Josh Gordon. Dumbass.***

This is why I could never 100% be a fan of Baseball.
If I got even close to as emotionally involved in every game of an Indians season as I do of a Browns, I'd likely kill myself...
I think 2009 I literally watched EVERY SINGLE Cavs game, and we were destroying people that year so it wasn't too taxing...
But 162 games? Sorry. I pay attention, and if we're cooking with grease when it matters then I'll get into it.
I dunno if that makes me "fair weather" or not, Never considered myself one...

"cooking with grease"
that describes Perez's saving style perfectly. you are always worried the whole thing is going to go up in flames, but, more often than not, it comes out delicious.

Just some thoughts on our farm system right Indians are a team that I think a year from now we are going to be looking at about how underrated their farm system was, and how the talent was overlooked. At the top of the draft, Francisco Lindor and Dillon Howard who were their first two picks of the draft cost them almost five million combined give the Indians a pair of prized prospects. Behind those two, they've got a pair of guys who could play short at the big league but one will likely be trade bait while the other plays second. They've got a handful of projections with their pitchers, but they lack the production to really warm up to them. But like I said earlier, I think this is a farm system that will be much improved. The Indians really lack the impact prospects after trading Alex White and Drew Pomeranz to Colorado for Ubaldo Jimenez, as well as the graduations of Lonnie Chisenhall and Jason Kipnis to the big league club.
1.) SS Francisco Lindor 2.) RHP Dillon Howard 3.) SS Ronny Rodriguez 4.) SS Tony Wolters 5.) OF Luigi Rodriguez 6.) LHP Nick Hagadone 7.) RHP Jake Sisco 8.) RHP Chen Lee 9.) RHP Felix Sterling 10.) 1B Jesus Aguilar
Keep an eye out of RHP Enosil Tejeda. He was quite effective last year out of relief with a K/BB of 3.80 and a 1.35 FIP. He's got an overpowering fastball, but his offspeed stuff still lags behind. His control is still a concern as well despite those lofty numbers, and the frame as well as mechanics give concerns about future injury. The guy could fly through the Indians farm system if he can continue to pitch this well, which he needs to since he's already 23.

our farm system is full of 4A players in Columbus. that is why it is ranked low. everyone that talked about our system mentioned that we look stacked at A, but that those guys are so risky that they generally don't help the ranking much.

oh boy, here we go. Hafner has the trainer talking knee surgery. Luke Carlin has been called up, so it looks like Santana is DL bound.

Like I said, no chance at all today... On a related topic, does Choo seem to get hit by an absurd amount of pitches, or is it just me?

Man, Lowe really got blasted today, didn't he? Hard to climb back into a game where the opposition has 8 runs when you have half of your team out hurt.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.

It's also kinda weird that we have 7 runs, but only 6 hits.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
