I don't think it's that far off. Like I said, he's not going to get much bigger so he's not going to turn into a guy who will plow through people. Contact in the lane will be rough on him.
And he can't even really kill you because they also have Durant and Harden to pick up the slack. And it's becoming more and more common that he wins games.

But I think OKC wins. I think they are too young, too dynamic. And I think the Spurs are a bit overrated.
Like both teams though and won't be disappointed with either.
Would love to see Boston come out of the East and get one more too. Seems a shame that core only won one ring.
Kobe balled tonight. Not a Kobe fan at all, but he played great tonight. Unfortunately for Laker fans it's all they will remember about his play. But it's fortunate for non-Laker fans.
As far as OKC/SAS goes, I think that's going to be the best series in the NBA in a long time.
I do think having Perk is HUGE for OKC. You saw what he did with the Lakers' bigs. San Antonio will take away a lot of the running you saw with OKC, although if they keep playing defense the way they have, they're going to still get out quite a bit.
I know Westbrook had a good series against the Lakers, but I think the Spurs will live and die with letting him shoot his jumper.

please. you are a year late on this assessment. Westbrook has been killing it for months now. he really improved his game this year and he doesn't hurt OKC, he almost always only helps (every player has a bad game from time to time).
With Rose injured and Chris Paul older, there is no better 2way PG in the NBA than Westbrook.
I want San Antonio to win because I'd love to see the cherry on the top of Duncan's and Pop's careers. But, I don't see how they beat the Thunder. They are the only team that is as deep as SA and they have more athleticism throughout their team. SA is going to have to shoot like crazy from 3pt land to stay in this series.

I'm not a huge NBA guy. I watch the Cavs, and catch other games off and on, but I'm more of a college guy, but this is a series I've been dying to see.
Grant snookered the Lakers on Sessions. 1st this year + ability to swap Heat's pick with theirs next year.

If I was the Lakers I would still do the deal though. They had to upgrade that position to even think about making a title run and they got rid of Walton's contract.
I don't know though. It's so short-sighted for a team that really wasn't going anywhere without blowing things up anyway.
they really needed this 1st round pick to get some youth on their team. Jenkins is absolutely perfect for them because he is such a good shooter and Kobe is their defacto PG anyway (he doesn't give up the ball, which is partially why Sessions was ineffective there).
not to mention, that was a big chip to have come trade talks if they do ship out Pau (or Bynum - less likely)
I like Ramon, and I think he's pretty good, but asking him to start at point in a second round conference game is kinda laughable. I think he's a great option as a second point guard on a contender, but it's asking too much for what they wanted.

The Lakers could have won the title this year. They just have a super-diva as their main option (Kobe), an extreme knuckle head as their second option (Bynum), and a player who is afraid of letting down their main option as their third option (Gasol). And they all hate the coach.

those are some pretty good reasons why they couldn't win the title, no? it's not like any of those things have changed from last year (other than the coach, but that situation hasn't changed since the allstar break).
I agree with you, those are the reasons they couldn't win the title. But given their talent they should have been able to at least have a chance. They just couldn't get out of their own way.
if OKC and LAL were playing at their absolute best, I'd still take the Thunder, but there is no denying that the Lakers have talent.
I think their best bet is to send Pau to Houston (who loves him) and get back a bunch of key young components to plug in (Budinger, Dragic, and Scola might work depending on what those first 2 RFAs do)
How can Haslem's foul only be a flagrant one when he CLEARLY was not going for the ball with two hands/forearms to Hansbrough's face...and how can Hansbrough, who was clearly going for the ball that D Wade was in the process of double-clutching/avoiding the block/contact also be called a flagrant one??
Indiana does not know how to move the ball around. They're throwing up 3s and just standing around. They deserve to lose honestly. I hate the Heat and the Pacers are just blowing it.
Miami's gonna win this one by 20+. Between playing at home, the refs, and now Granger out with a sprained ankle, I can't see anything close to a comeback.
