Not quite sure why people thought the Spurs were the better team.
You can slowly see the Spurs realizing they can't beat OKC.
And man has Duncan sucked.
The good news is there is no way Miami beats OKC.
The way I look at this series is that OKC might be able to take one in San Antonio but it will be tough. There is no way that the Spurs win at OKC. Problem for OKC is that SA has home court advantage.
I see the Boston-Miami series in similar light. Miami might be able to win a hard fought battle in Boston but no way Boston take any in Miami. Difference is Miami has home court.
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no
He's a great example of how patience can pay off in the NBA. I kinda see Tristan Thompson in the same light. Not saying he's gonna be as good at his position, but if he is, it's gonna take some time.

Patience? It's his 3rd year. He's 23.
How is that being "Patient?"
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?
and I agree, Harden was a scorer right away, it just took him until the playoffs last year (his 2nd year) to figure out how to be efficient at it. once he figured it out, he was great. not much patience there.
also, while I called OKC to win, I'm not giving SA no shot in OKC either. I think the Thunder win the series regardless, but if SA can get hot from outside and cut down on the TOs, they can definitely beat the Thunder. and they are capable of both at any time.
not so fast. they'll have a tough time keeping everything together there. right now they have better depth than Miami and even SA because their young stars are on cheaper deals. the more expensive all of those deals get, the harder it will be to fill out the rest of the roster.
they are already talking about only having 1 more year of Perkins. Sefo could be a casualty, Ibaka is going to be tough to re-sign (if Westbrook/Harden/Durant is their perceived corps).

for as high of a pick he was (3rd overall) it takes 3 seasons to show something? There's a lot of patience in that. People expect results, and I remember last year some people saying that he just wasn't that good.

Other words James doesn't know the meaning of: Honesty, Loyalty, Respect...
Yeah, he owes some corperation honesty, loyalty and respect.
Never mind the fact that it's his life, his career and his choice. Yeah, you should just take all his choices away, blame him because he didn't make the choice "you wanted him to" because he owes you SO MUCH!
I wish people would just put on their big girl panties and get over it already!
Athletes owe you nothing accept to play the best they can while they're being paid to play here.
You know, Peyton Hillis pretty much did the same thing by choosing to play somewhere else for less money.
Why don't I hear more about that? Oh that's right, because JBJ "owed you a championship".
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

"I got a goal, and it's a huge goal, and that's to bring an NBA championship here to Cleveland."
"And I won't stop until I get it."

Honestly, Peyton Hillis, for whatever reason, got off easy. Dude quit on us, was part of the reason we struggled so much, then went elsewhere (although i am with most that the Browns didn't want him back, and it's easy to see why now with TR33 in the building)
I am over the LBJ thing, but him saying that about getting Cleveland a title, and then game 5, and then the decision? Looks bad. I can see why some are still not over it.
What is it that people STILL don't get about Lebron leaving? It has nothing to do with him wanting to go as a free agent elsewhere. It has everything to do with the way he did it. The team bent over backwards to accomodate him and help build a team around him. He then mailed it in for the playoffs then toyed with everyone's emotions, making everyone think he would be around for longer. Meanwhile, the team based much of it's roster strategy on him being here. It wasn't until he went on national TV and announced to everyone that he was putting a shotgun sized blast into the heart of the Cavs roster, that the team realized that it needed to start moving forward without him. On top of that, he never really acknowledged Cleveland, the team or his fans at all ... the 7 years here was just an afterthought.
The thing is, if you were a player and had three years to screw over a franchise .. you'd be hard-pressed to top what Lebron ended up doing. He was non-commital and even cryptic about his desire to stay, which forced the front office to go "all-in" trying to put a team around him that could win a championship. Not only that, but he put almost no effort into trying to lobby other players to come play with us. (There's that story of him dissing a meetup with Michael Redd when he was a free agent, and giving him nothing more than a half-hearted, "come play with us" video message). The whole roster was based around him running the offense through the SF spot, and we didn't even really have a backup for that spot, because he was putting in 39 minutes a night. He ended up waiting until most Free Agents were already signed with other teams before announcing he was leaving, which left a gaping hole in the SF spot (with a team designed around playing through the SF) ... and no way of bringing in Free Agents to fix it. We also got rid of the head coach and GM, in hopes that it would placate him. So when he left with no warning ... the team was left in complete shambles.
I'm even over the way he went about it. It was not well thought out. Maybe bolting town was, but that thing was put together in a few hours.
But, God, if I worked for the Cavs, I probably still wouldn't be over it.
Me? I'm just a fan, all it took away from me was the quality of my basketball team. Didn't ruin my everyday life.
The people who worked with the Cavs, who catered to his every need, whether it be putting players around him or making sure his jersey was clean for the next game, or preparing treatment, or food, or whatever... Wow, to have to find out through that tv special, that's brutal. I guess Dan and Chris were called a few minutes before they went on the air but the damage had been done, and apparently it wasn't even Lebron that called.
I hope the guy learns from all these mistakes, whether he comes back or not, it's just a horrible way to go through your life, you'll regret every second of it when you're on that deathbed and all your money and fame doesn't mean anything.

Spurs are going to show a champions resiliency but I think the young pups are hungry and will win game 6
Pierce had as much position as Battier does on all the charges he draws. Either they are or they aren't. I don't care which way they call them as long as its the same both ways.
This Boston team is very gutsy. I only saw the 4th qtr, but I saw at least 3 loose balls they recovered as well as Rondo rebounding his own shot to put it back in.
KG looks a lot like the KG of old to me, albeit a bit slower. Hope they can finish it out Thursday.
Rondo is a terrific basketball player. I enjoy watching him distribute. If he ever adds a reliable jump shot, look out. I don't think I can recall a PG who has such a knack for rebounding and a nose for the ball.
Wow. With all the negative commentary regarding Miami from Magic & Co, I'm surprised that ESPN didn't make them run a disclaimer stating that "opinions stated do not reflect those of the company".
Boston sucks. They have no ability to win this series. Might as well just give it to the Heat right now. There's no hope for the Celtics.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
Celtics epitomize "the heart of a champion". You've got 3 players in Garnett, Pierce, and Allen who will never back down ...old dogs ...moment is not too big for them ...not to mention Rivers is a really good coach. Is there a better coach coming out of a TO?
As time passes LeBron shows more and more he's got no heart, no competitive spirit, no desire to win at all costs ...no heart of a champion. He wants all the glory ...doesn't want to earn it.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...
