From KFFL on Sunday. Didn't see any mention of it here. Running out of things to talk about . . . Browns | Reggie Hodges back as starter Cleveland Browns P Reggie Hodges (Achilles') is back as the team's punter after missing the 2011 season due to an Achilles' injury. The team has been pleased with his performance during offseason workouts. In 2010, Hodges averaged 43.9 yards per punt, and he ranked ninth in the NFL in net yardage. Last season, P Brad Maynard was 32nd in the league in the same category while filling in for Hodges. Browns / Christian Yount will be long snapper Cleveland Browns C Christian Yount took over as the long snapper last season, and he settled down the position. He is expected to retain his job heading into the season unless he struggles during training camp and the preseason. Yount took over for C Ryan Pontbriand last year. Pontbriand was cut by the San Francisco 49ers earlier this week. Browns / Joshua Cribbs to be busy on special teams Cleveland Browns WR Joshua Cribbs is expected to see heavy duty on special teams this season. The team is hopeful that WRs Joshua Cooper or Jordan Norwood will step up as the third receiver behind WRs Greg Little and Mohamed Massaquoi rather than Cribbs serving as the No. 3 WR. Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Terry Pluto The MoMass pipe dream is still in full force . . .

32nd? Really? I thought Maynard did a heck of a job last year...
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

that's what happens when all of your "drives" halt at midfield.

I guess that makes sense...
Go 3 and out, more room for the punter to boom it...
Stop at midfield, you better be coffin cornering the crap out of them.

I want them to do a Sports Science where they openly mock professional athletes.
For instance, show how slow Prince Fielder is by breaking down the film and comparing him to the desert tortoise.
Demonstrate how weak Manu Ginobli must be that the mere force of air currents changing from a ball handler (with no contact) causes him to fly 10feet backwards.
Perhaps compare the intelligence of James Harrison to a gerbil.

That's where, If I was a Pro Athlete, people would love me...
As long as it's in good natured fun, I'm totally ok with being made the fool for entertainment...
But people only sign up for Sports Science, because it makes them look good...

but, why do they need to sign up? we have millions of hours of sporting events on tape that can be broken down without their involvement.
superimpose some slow beast next to Prince on one of his normal "runs" to 1B after hitting the ball.

Actually, he did.
This is another case where stats lie.
Brad Maynard was tied for 3rd in punts downed inside the 20. He had only 1 touchback all year. He had 25 punts fair caught, which was 7th in the NFL.
The Browns coverage units, however, sucked last year. Maynard generally placed the ball well on punts, he was very good at putting the ball to the correct side of the field, and so on. (or at least he appeared to as far as I can tell) but guys just missed tackles.
Regardless, out of 81 punts, 25 were fair caught ...... 25 were downed inside the 20 ...... and 25 were returned. Those returned averaged 11.5 yards/return. That wasn't on Maynard. He did a great job of directional kicking and putting the ball where it was supposed to go.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
