oh, Detroit. yeah, they are going to make a run at some point. people like to say defense is a constant, but everyone goes through good and bad stretches there too. when they get a good stretch (which is average for anyone else), their offense will carry them to a winning streak and they'll get back in the division.

I still think they'll fall short though because of the defense/bullpen/lack of rotational starters as I've been saying since March.

Indians are facing a rookie pitcher named Joe Kelly today, called up to replace Jaime Garcia. I hate facing rookie newbies, they always seem to baffle our hitters. On the other hand, he's a righty, so maybe we light him up. Fingers crossed.

Hopefully they don't rush Rolen back. When he does come back I hope Frazier gets at least 60% of the starts at third.

I'm ready to see them hand the job to Todd 100% of the time. His defense is improving and he seems to come up with the timely hit.

Rolen looks like he's in pain when he swings the bat anymore. I'm in pain watching him swing. But..Dusty loves his veterans so you're probably right. I'll Just be happy if Frazier gets the bulk of the playing time going forward.

That's what .... 20 saves in a row for Perez?

He said that he drank some warm water before he went out there and it didn't agree with his stomach.

He said that it happened to him before ..... he needed a drink and got warm water somehow, and it made him puke.

I think he said that he got the save last time too. lol

What was the "Yay" for? Because they only gave up 4 runs and the lead in the 8th? lol

Bottom of the 9th for the Reds ...... down 1 ......can they come back for the win?

As a side note, looks like the Battle for Ohio should be fun this year.

Should be fun.

The Indians are actually better on the road than they are at home. Weird.

Redlegs have to bounce back against the Tribe. It's disheartening that the back end of our rotation out-pitched the front end of the Tigers' only have to 'pen blow two games of the series. I can't decide what we need to improve more: the bullpen or the lineup beyond Votto and Phillips.

Cozart not playing tonight. He's one of a number of Reds players with a stomach flu type thing. Votto has it too, but he is playing.

The bullpen? Really? Is the Detroit game the only game you have watched all year? The pen has been lights out all year. And that's without Masset, Bray, and Madson.

Very good game indeed!

Excellent pitching by Cueto and good at bats by Votto!

That guy named Phillips can sure play a mean defense and hit the ball as well!

GO REDS!

Yeah, it actually is.

I'm in the Detroit coverage map, so I get drowned with crappy Tigers coverage. Combine that with working a swing shift and I got my first Reds game of the year. So you busted me on talking out of my ass. Even though they've surprised and outperformed expectations so far, it was a huge blow to (well, mine at least) morale losing Madson. I was really excited about the 'pen with him closing and Marshall setting up. That said, it's seems another bat is the bigger priority right now, I'd guess.
