Hehehe...I dunno if I can always offer sound advice, but I sure can give one helluva convoluted opinion backed up by stuff that is cleverly disguised as fact
I'd also say that while I have no evidence to back this up, you're not the only one who feels like Holm's still has his hands firmly on both sets of puppet strings...and we all need to be very concerned about that...

Your assessment is probably way more accurate than Grossi's lame attempt at explaining the situation.
I'm just surprised that Grossi is suddenly playing the loyal soldier.
Maybe it's less about covering the back of guys like Lerner and Holmgren and more about him just being a fan who is spinning a tale to make his team look better.

I maintain that consistent with the other rumors, had Wright not been gone, the Browns would have picked him and waited for 37 for Weeden, although there were rumors that they would have traded back into the first round for Weeden.
If nothing else that line of thinking made great sense. Furthermore, even though I wouldn't have taken Wright that highly I sure would have been on-board with the logic of taking Richardson, Wright, and Weeden with our first three picks. We can't believe what the FO says on any given day, but Holm's explanation makes sense.

As much as I was a fan of RG3. And especially comparing his future to that of Weeden's...
I'd be less optimistic had we gotten him instead of Weeded/Rich/Schwartz...
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

This feels no different then someone trying to convince their buddies they don't want a Mustang, Vette or Camero because they always wanted the Yugo with rims, spinners and flame paint job that's sitting in their driveway. Fact is you can spin it all you want, but we missed out on the 2 franchise qbs, project franchise qb and wound up with a guy 5 years away from collecting a social security check, and we're trying to make that Yugo look sporty!

Hey! Step off my ride! Don't be a jealous hater
The kind of love that went into that car reminds me of another kind of love...the kind between kin in states like Arkansas...

the real surprise to me was the selection of Schwartz over Martin, Adams Massei at 37. This is where the Browns may have reached,
I know you weren't replying to me but.... I think the reasoning behind our pick was that "The Schwartz" had better mechanics for RT than the others, plus he played both spots for a good number of games. I think just a better all around player.

It is what I believe scouting is all about, they were looking for a RT, most of the other players were viewed as left tackles. Is it better to take a college LT and move him to the right side, or to take a RT?
He was a bit of a reach over the other guys, just because RT's are very low on the pecking order.
I understand the logic, and since the player needed to start right away, it makes a lot of sense.
A am happy with the selection because it clearly indicates that the Browns considered RT a problem, no more St. Turnstile or trainers room Pashos.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!
