I heard on the Fan that the Cavs traded with the Bobcats. 4,24 and 33 for their 2 and 31. Has anybody heard anything about this?
Erggh ... that's a lot of picks to give up for Beal. Especially when I think MKG is the better player anyway.

So is it true? Not seeing anything about it.
For the record, i don't like the trade. Really liked having 2 picks in the first round, with 2 more picks in the 2nd.

Why don't we just draft Kidd-Gilchrist and sign Ray Allen?
I wouldn't mind watching that team play:
Irving Allen Kidd-Gilchrist Thompson Varejao

Down goes Kidd-Gilchrist.
I want the Cleveland Browns to be my pallbearers so they can let me down for the last time.

Well at this rate, we'll probably take Sullinger.
Down go the three best players ... which will leave us with ... ?

I'll be happy with Barnes. Then make the move to get Terrence Ross and I'm happy.

Dion Waiters, he'd better be for real.

Kind of a high risk and high reward.
He's either D-Wade or Rodney Stuckey

This feels like last years #4 pick ... the top 3 picks actually go in order, and we're stuck reaching for a guy who wasn't really slotted for that spot. I've heard some good things about Waiters before the draft though ... so lets just hope he's the real deal.

Other than Irving and James, how do the Cavs screw this up so often??? I believe my 6 yo daughter could pick better!
I really didnt want Drummond, but I would have taken him over Waiters!

The Cavs take Dion Waiters. The world disintegrates like a cookie beneath the rump of a corpulent eight year-old.
I want the Cleveland Browns to be my pallbearers so they can let me down for the last time.

If he can hold down the 2 I'm perfectly fine with the pick. Now lets package some stuff and move up from 24 to grab a big man.

Rumor has it we drafted Waiters for Golden State. Sure hope so and we still get Barnes.

F Barnes
That would ruin my night
As Jason Lloyd said earlier today, scouts he talked to were VERY high on Waiters. Cavs have scouted him heavily ALL year. Scouts say he was the best scorer in the draft, and well, we kinda need scoring.
Also as usual Grant not afraid to pull the trigger.

From what I've read, he's a pretty big "risk/reward" type player. I've heard lots of comparisons to Dwayne Wade. Hopefully they've done their homework on this and we got ourselves a great player.

Quick first step and WILL finish when he gets to the hoop.

Just looked it up, because I vaguely remembered it ... John Hollinger had him Dion ranked #4 in his pre-draft super-complicated ranking system. This was similar to last year again, where TT ranked really high when you did the prediction math compared to where he was "supposed to go".

I'm not excited about Waiters but I was never excited about Barnes either so it's a draw in my eyes.

Fun fact... Waiter is the second non-starter EVER picked in the lottery. The first, Marvin Williams. Also by Chris Grant. #ifAtFirstYouDontSucceed...

Well after MKG and Beal went #2 and #3, it was going to be all downhill from there anyway.

I wish the trade rumors were true. I wanted Beal. I feel like we got Ramon Sessions 2.0 I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, I was depressed lottery night when we didn't at least get 3.

Reading quite a bit from older reports. John Hollinger compared him a lot to Dwayne Wade. If you're a sabermetrics kind of you, you'll like this pick. I've now seen more than a few comparisions to Wade. Lots of people said that he might be the sleeper of the draft.

I believe we did if you can believe the rumors, #24 and Verajo for the 7th pick (Golden State), and the Cavs turned it down.

Cavs should have just taken Drummond. Plenty of 2 guards late in the first to mid 2nd that are just as good as Waiters. Big man, is gonna be a hoss in the NBA.

Dwayne Wade was a much better player than Waiters in college. Wade already had a mid range jumper, and dominated the college level for 2 years. Waiters may be a good player, but he didn"t have the career wade did at Marquette. Grant went for broke here. Classic boom or bust pick.
