Canadadawg, myself and a few other people are going to be making the trip to see the browns in Dallas. We are thinking of staying in fort worth near billy bobs and cantina cadillac. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good hotel in that area, (is it a good area?)as we have never been to Dallas. Is anyone else going and where will you be staying?

I plan on going, but I haven't looked into any of the particulars yet. I'm just going to leave in the morning from the Pfluge. I remember Turk and Tulsa mentioned interest. I've got to check out stubhub to see what's available.

I will be there and I live in the DFW area. I know the Stockyards area really well. There really is only 1 branded hotel down there. It is on Exchange...Hyatt Place - it is behind the Cowboy Museum. There are some other local hotels (Stockyards Hotel) there too. Cool area. I think that is good for a night.

I'd recommend you stay downtown Fort Worth. You could EASILY take a cap (1.5 miles away) to Stockyards and back. And downtown FW is probably the safest, cleanest and most lively of a downtown area you will ever find. Stay near Sundance Square.

Let me know what you guys are up and I will try to meet up with you. PM me for any additional info!

And I'm trying to get a bulk of tickets too. Not sure who would organize this.

Have a good time guys.

The only thing I regret about having season tickets is going to an away game once in a while. I'll always do Nashville or Atlanta when the Browns play there, but it was fun to go to different cities to catch the action.

I can't really justify it now since I go to 5-6 Browns games in Cleveland, and those are like road games to me. The tickets and the travel eat up a good percentage of my "slush" fund...we both have one. That's money we can darn well do what we please with it and the other doesn't have to be included.

It works for us.

I'm thinking about going to the game. Sort of afraid that Jerry won't keep to the 1pm time slot that it currently is setup as. That, and have to check on my sons flag football playoff schedule.

Also, if this story is true, then hopefully you can see TJ lay this guy out during the game:

http://espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/story/_/id...-mom-police-say

Quote:

According to the incident report, Bryant became angry when his mother asked him to leave her home during an argument Saturday afternoon. Initially, at a Tuesday news conference, Smith said Bryant slapped his mother in the face, but the police report, which was released later Tuesday, clarified that Bryant allegedly grabbed her by her T-shirt and hair and "hit her across the face with his ball cap."

Angela Bryant, whose T-shirt and bra were allegedly torn during the incident, indicated on a 911 call that this was not the first time she was assaulted by her son.

"I can't keep letting him do this," said Angela Bryant, who made the call from the nearby home of family friend and adviser David Wells. "I can't keep letting him do me like this. I'm tired. I'm going to put an end to it today. I'm going to put an end to it today. I'm tired."

TJ himself was involved in a little dust up in LA this past weekend outside a night club - him and another guy nearly coming to blows.

No charges or anything filed.

Not sure if TMZ is an allowed site or not.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

ok, so TJ Ward nearly fights another guy (but thinks better of it).
Dez Bryant physically abuses his mom.

I do now wish the game was in Cleveland. Such an opportunity for a great sign:

Wish I could go - really want to see a game in Dallas, but Texans have a home game so I can't make it...

What's the average price for a crappy seat at the new Cowboys stadium?

you can get nosebleed corner seats for the Browns game for $50-60 right now, but once the season starts those will jump up.

looked at trying to get to a game last year and $100 was the minimum for almost any seat.

Without looking....probably $5,692.57

....and you may even have to sit outside (using the Super Bowl as a benchmark).

I'd check out what the Dallas Browns Backers have to offer. www.dallasbrowns.com They don't have tickets yet (I don't think single-game tickets are on sale yet), but I'd guess they'd probably by a block of seats at a group rate.

OK, so I'm going and would be interested in getting tickets with any Dawgtalkers that would like to meet up at the game. When can everyone who is on the ence decide by? Turk? Tulsa? No_logo? Any other Austin Dawgs interested in taking a ride up? Gage? Toad? Last time there was a Texas game we kinda dropped the ball, so I want to get things settled instead of up in the air?

If you're interested, post or PM the date you'll know by, and how important seat vs. price is for you! I don't care where i sit, and don't mind paying some bucks if I have to, so I could go anywhere from say $45 -$200 based on what's available on Stubhub and be happy sitting wherever. Let me know!

Definitely going to this game, booked the flight in April the same day schedule was released. Got a great deal on the Omni downtown, through hotwire.

I really hear good things about the Uptown area, what are some other good spots, restaurants, bars to check out. Want a good sports bar to watch the Bucks game on Saturday.

Gosh I can't wait to see Texas women again, in every direction I look...

Dallas Browns Backers were great last time we were down in Big D which was some time ago.

I'll be there for sure since I live so close.

Good for you. Dallas is a nice town, and it's always fun to watch the Brownies on the road.

Cowyboy Up and have a great time!

From the above link:

Game Tickets
Purchase game tickets online here
Please enter promo code DABB at checkout
Prices range from $55 to $468 depending upon your seat selection
NOTE: Sections 450, 451, 452, 453, and 454 in the upper level, and sections 144 and 145 lower level are our designated Browns Backer group sections, so if you want to sit with the bulk of our fans visiting from all over the world, buy seats there. You are welcome to purchase seats anyplace you wish however!

Hey guys, I'm buying my ticket next Monday. If anyone from anywhere has any interest in sitting together (or riding/parking together from Austin) let me know on here or PM by then. Also let me know how much $$ you're interested in spending or where you're wanting to sit and if you want to sit in the Browns' backers' sections or anywhere you can get the best view/deal. I'm going to compare what's available on DABB vs. Stubhub as well, as I've never had anything but good experiences on SH. I'll go over with whoever is interested the final details before I make the purchase.

Go Browns!

If you do have to sit outside, don't sit on the marble benches.

The Canadian contingent is a go for Dallas!! So pumped. CanadianDawg booked the airline and hotels and we're booking our game tickets in short order!

Looks like we are staying at Park Central-Fort Worth so if anyone else is in the neighbourhood, we are always happy to add a few more to the drinking posse! Looking forward to seeing some of you dawgs down there!
