I wanted to make this poll before the preseason started to see where the general thoughts of Browns fans are. I'll also make one after the pre-season to see if the sentiment changes and compare the 2 results.

Im firmly in the 6-10 camp.
If you need 3 years to be a winner you got here 2 years to early. Get it done Browns.

I'm thinking 7-9 is realistic. Hopefully we can just play well and grow as a team and pull off some upsets. I don't think 9-7 is out of the question.

I think that we'll wind up somewhere between 6-10 and 8-8 ...... so I picked 8-8.

It will be another 4 win season but not as miserable as the previous 4 win season.

with the new boss, what number will keep Shurmur/Heckert and or Holmgren in place?

6-10
Though few lucky/unlucky bounces and injuries could put us at 8-8 or 4-12 again.

Beat Pittsburgh once, sweep Cinci, and beat Philly, Indy, Buffalo, Washington.

It's hard for me to see more than 5 wins out of this young team. I think we'll get better as the season goes on, but it'll be ugly early. Potentially REALLY ugly.

2-14 and hope like hell I'm wrong, but we have 2 key players out on D, rookies starting in most (possibly all) of the money positions, front office distractions, an unproven sophomore HC, and a new OC. That's not a formula for success.

I went 7-9.
Wanted to go 8-8 or 9-7, but I figured the youth on this team will most likely have us just under .500 instead.

I just... we were HORRIBLE last year, probably the worst team we've had since 2000, and we STILL won 4 games, how the heck do people think we'll do WORSE?
I think the addition of T-Rich AT LEAST keeps us at 4-5, and if Weeden can either be average to start, or come on late, then 6+ is possible...
I voted 16-0 btw

One of those wins was against Seattle AT HOME WITHOUT MARSHAWN LYNCH AND TARVARIS JACKSON. We "won" 9-6.
One of those wins was at Indy who was possibly the worst team in the NFL since the 0-16 Lions.
The other two were last-minute nailbiters at home against the Jags and Dolphins, both who were also terrible last year.
When I look at our schedule, the only two games I feel better than 50/50 on are @ IND and home vs. KC. I think 2-14 is a perfectly reasonable prediction.

And two of the losses was the opener vs Cincy that was 1 play from a win, and the FG game against STL...
We were plays away from being 7-9 and plays away from being 1-15..
We were 4-12...
And we got BETTER*...
Yet we're only going to win 2 games?
* - Yes it's "mostly" on paper, but just having people in the system for another year, full offseason, we'll be better.

The STL team last year was almost as abysmal as the IND team, especially the second half of the season. losing 13-12 to a team of that caliber at home is awful regardless what the circumstance is. Also, we don't have a game like that on our schedule outside KC and IND.

I'm a guy that thinks the Philly game is winnable (until we lose it) ...So maybe I'm the wrong guy to ask Editors Note: That isn't a "Every game is winnable!" type of attitude either, Philly was HORRIBLE against the run last year, and we have a nice shiny new RB that can run over their undersized front 7. And while I think Mike Vick can easily cause us to have flash backs to the 09 opener by making someone look a fool, I think Sheard can get ahold of him a couple times and all it takes is for one hit on Vick for a fumble (or sometimes you don't even have to hit him) Just saying. We haven't finished with less than 4 wins since 2000

I thought it was until a couple days ago. Not trying to be callous, but I highly doubt Philly loses game 1 this year.

I can also see it as a 08 opener vs Dallas where they came out like GANGBUSTERS and we were flat...
Pissed me off even more because Dallas then sucked towards the end of the year (when they played the other AFCN teams)

Like others have said, we're not playing the likes of last year's St. Louis, Jacksonville and Seattle this season.
We got better by plugging unproven rookies into areas of dire need. Outside of maybe Trich, there's going to be a learning curve. We got worse by losing two of our best position players on D. Think about it....we're hoping our LB corp can hold it together until a slow as molasses Fujita comes back from his suspension? Hey, I look through orange colored glasses as much as anyone....but there isn't enough orange to color up these problems.
Trust me, I hate taking this side of the argument....and I hope I'm wrong.

Until I see teams like Cincy. Buffalo, and KC actually preform at a high level, they are average teams.
An average team can win or lose any game.

I remember that game. I believe it was the first play of the game that Braylon had a certain 80 yard TD pass go right through his hands... and we never recovered...

I remember it cause:
Dallas looks horrible in their dark blue jerseys.
TO was practically uncovered the whole game.
Romeo kicked a FG down 21-7. Because 21-10 looks better.

Just looked it up, now I'm depressed.. they had 3 guys over 80 yards receiving, we had 1 guy over 20.

And remember he's coming in from Vick's blindside. And their OL is bad.
Who knows on Game 1. The bad teams don't know they're bad yet.
I don't count anyone out Game 1.

All it takes is one Jabal strip-sack-fumble to be picked up by Haden and taken to the house to ruin Vick for the rest of the game...

Showing improvement in play over last year, but a tough schedule, also injuries to Gocong and Phil Taylor will make it harder to win games. I think the team is finally headed in the right direction though and should see better results in 2013

Seriously.
even the Panthers who were considered to have more talent than we currently do and got everything and more out of their rookie QB only improved by 4 wins last year.
that's the goal IMO, 4 win improvement (8-8).

Looking at the schedule, people want to say "Well theres no STL, or Jax for us to beat"
But theres no New Englad, or Green Bay either...
Yeah we've got NYG, Pit and Bmore, maybe Denver...
But what happened the last time NYG played us coming off a SB win? We played the best two games against pitt last year we ever have that weren't wins. Baltimore I think is one of the best teams we play, but occasionally we sneak out a few wins from them. And Denver has to prove they have a QB first...
Maybe I'm setting myself up for failure. But I would rather go into the season thinking "Yeah we might be able to win some games" as opposed to "we have no chance and will be lucky to finish 3-13"
But that's just me.

Half of our games are against teams that were 8-8 or worse last year... I'm sure all 8 of them think they have improved... I think we have improved... if we have improved, then beating some mediocre teams is the first step in proving that.

Two 4 game win streaks in the same season?
While I can look at your prediction and think its possible, I also believe that our youth is going to lose us a few games... I think everything would have to play out perfect for your plan to come true.... and I don't see it happening. But I do appreciate the optimism
