The rule requiring links for news was kind of lax in the last thread but if everyone could take this as a warning that if you post something without a valid link, you face a suspension.
The rules are clear and everyone knows them. Saying that you read it somewhere or heard it somewhere or referencing Twitter is not permitted.
Thank you for complying.

Hester was deemed expendable because they have that guy who used to play on the Ravens. La'Ron McClain. I agree though. I wouldn't mind him. He's a big boy who can do a bit of everything. Richardson, Jackson, and Hester (who doubles as a FB the way Hillis can)
I'm just very interested to see if Maercic makes the team. I'd rather cut him and have Richardson, Jackson, Hardsety, Hester, and Smelley as five backs. And Smelley can double up as a TE (the way Hester can as a FB)

Near as I can tell (and maybe I missed it in the other thread) but we currently sit at 63 players. Of course we are 'officially' down to 53, but I haven't seen who the last 10 were.
So far: Started the day @ 75.
Traded Sims to Philly for a conditional 2013 pick (possibly a 1st - hahahahaha)
Released the following:
Senaca Wallace QB Dan Gronkowski TE Evan Moore TE James Dockery CB Rod Windsor WR Jarrod Shaw OL William Green DE Josh Cooper WR Brian Schaefering DE Ronnie Cameron DT Ben Jacobs LB
Looking for that final 10.
Statistics are like a bikini; what they show is interesting, but what they hide is vital. Drive for show (1st round), Putt for dough (rest of draft).

Not that I expect it, but I won't be surprised to see Usama Young on our cut list.

The body was here. I'm pretty sure he wasn't mentally or physically.
I'm pretty sure the remains of Tim Couch's arm muscles are implanted into the grass of the stadium, too.

If we kept Young and dumped Sims, I am gonna be pretty upset. Kid should not have been sent to the eagles, he earned his spot with the Browns.

I will say it'd be tough to pass up a draft pick trade for a guy who is likely to just be a backup.

Per this , the Browns are waiting until midnight to release the list. Why? I have no idea.

I am thinking the list is really 51 or 52. With the plan to get someone from another teams cut.

I just hope we keep cribbs on the roster....i just have a weird feeling someone like him is going to be cut. He is too important to this team. Still salty over losing Sims to the Eagles, dont want to lose one of my favorite players too

Not a problem, Cribbs is a still an acceptable returner, the best gunner in the game, and an acceptable 4th or 5th receiver/wildcat RB.

I really like Cribbs but he is a bubble guy. he has looked super slow this preseason. Maybe it is because the other returners are Thomas=burner, Skrine Burner, Benjamin Burner and then there is Cribbs and in comparrison, he looks slow.

Guys who do what he has done throughout his career do not age well and are fairly replaceable.

Can't believe Smelley didn't make it.

Smelley is the only real "surprise" on that list. I'll be curious to see who we're pursuing for the PS.

Cousins made it and Smelley didn't. That stinks! Smelley is the only shocker to me.

It didn't come down to Cousins vs Sims. If we cut Cousins then we would have had to keep a different olineman not Sims.
I would have kept Smelley over Marecic and Sims over Young.
Am I perfect? No Am I trying to be a better person? Also no

Wait, we kept 4 backs???? Obi made it? Geez.
Kinda surprised Schaefering is gone. I thought he had a solid preseason.

I'm with you. He does nothing for me. Unaggressive. You want a FB you goes out looking to take someone's head off. He just looks like he goes through the motions. I can't stand him.

I truly don't know why anyone is surprised that Cousins made the team. He is the primary backup at both Tackle spots, and can also play Guard. That's vital for a backup OL, especially one who will be active on game day.
Kinda surprised about Smelley. I think that he could be back as soon as we go back to 3 RB. As someone else said though, he's a FB ...... lol I am kinda bummed about Gronkowski though, I think that he's got some talent and ability. I hope he ends up on the practice squad again.
Sims was traded, but both Bademosi and Gipson made the team. I can't really argue with that. The 3 were all close, but Bademosi and Gipson are both bigger players, and Bademosi was singled out for his special teams play.
Really not a huge number of surprises here.

Guys I hate. Jordan Cameron, wait, I mean Jordan ( never make a play) Cameron, makes it but any of the TE's cut would have made more sense.
Guys I hate to see go, Schaefering. What the ? Is Brian Simspson still around, Hate to see go, Evan Moore.
Hate to see go, Gronkowski, and or Smelley.
ehh did I mention I don't like Jordan Cameron, and don't like his future.
He just doen't look like a football player out there.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Why not, Browns don't expect to win that game, anyway. I just hope to score at least one TD.
Go Browns !!!!
