I wasn't able to watch much football today, but in a few games I did see there were some kids that caught my eye. So I wanted to make a thread for us to compare notes and see who catches our eye each week.

For me this week I saw a few kids I liked.
Rettig QB for BC.
The kid had great pocket presence and strong arm. Does have difficulty with longer passes. He tends to lob it high and do jump ball placement. Besides that I think he looked really good and may have a shot In the league.

TJ. Yeldon rb Bama
I'm sure most of you watched the game. This kid is only a true freshman, but is lights out. Can you say heisman? The way he was running reminded me of a mix of Walter Petyon w the up right stance n speed of Eric dickerson.

Fowler fb bam a
This kids is also a beast. More of legarret Blount type of runner and build.

Marquee reed N Robert Woods WR USC
As I stated b4 I think woods is incredible. But Reed maybe the second best receiver in the land. It's close between him and Sammy Watkins.

Woods had a terrible game. Dropped a couple Braylonesque passes (that would have been long TDs) and failed to get position on quite a few short yardage 2pt conversions/TD passes that fell incomplete. USC force-fed him, so he still ended up with some numbers, but it was a bad game for him.

Reed is blazing fast. That 80yd TD on the bubble screen was crazy how quick he put that CB on his heels and just knifed through the defense.

Ohio State - good showing after a first quarter that Miami won although they only managed 3 points. I like what I saw with the offense, although I think even with the 49 points they scored (7 on special teams) they still have work to do. I know nobody likes the bowl ban, but it really allows them to tinker with this offense without the stress of competing for a conference title or even a national one. It really sets up for next year perfect. Ohio State could have have done any better coming out of this Tressel/tattoo situation.

Penn State - wow.

Pittsburgh - wow. Let's make it a triple fail with the Steelers falling on their face too?

USC - damn.

Alabama - All thirty of their running backs are better than 90% of the nation's starters.

Was impressed with MSU's game the other night but also impressed with how Boise handled themselves. No loss is good but they keep solidifying themselves as a very good solid program. They will be back.

Michigan is still in the mix for the Big 10 championship, but they are not a top ten team. They had a good year last year, but who exactly did they beat? They dodged Wisconsin, beat an average Nebraska team, and barely beat one of the worst Ohio State teams any of us have ever seen.

Didn't see a lot of ball on Tv, but OSU was OK. I like the Stoneburner move (and I could see him in our informs!). And I think the kid (Smith?) who made the INFREEKIN'CREDIBLE one-handed catch for TD caught my eye, but I was just leaving the house. And ANYbody who beats Mich catches my eye. This is an interesting thread IMO. Try to have more next week.

Yah it wasn't Woods best game. Lee's speed n quckness impressed me as well.

The catch by Davis reminded me of C.Carter. I thnk they say he's an athletic beast but has a long way to go learning WR. Woods n Lee much more refined. I can't wait to see Sammy Watkins, another speedster.

Personally, I'm hoping that the Eagles make it a threesome fail for the state of PA more than anything the Steelers do.

Didnt get to see the games I wanted to bought here who caught my eye.

Josh Johnson cb purdue... was just a beast the whole game, blanket coverage, rush support, even ripped the ball right out the RB hands as he was planting him in the ground. Me Likey!!! Has good size and nice hips, closes well on the ball, and most importantly wraps up when finishing.

Motta SS Notre Dame - good size and speed, every play he was near the ball if he didnt make the tackle.

McGee TE Virginia - Runs good routes, nice hands, can run with the ball,... needs to put on about 10-15 lbs for NFL and work on his blocking. But he had a good game and found the open spaces all day.

Maurise Lee WR USC - just continues to impress me. He had a beast of a block on a third down conversion to spring Woods and took out 2 guys at the same time.

Woods WR USC- I still consider him the best coming out this year at WR. I hate USC's dink and donk passing game.... but the way Woods and Lee can get separation, who can blame them.

Mauti LB Penn St.- this guy was all over the place, high motor, good read n recongnition, Not sure if he has the speed or size for NFL. only 232 lbs. I want my middle linebackers to be Laurenitis type body and range. But Mauti looks tons better then Mante Teo
