Rockets almost got upset against EMU today. We really need to find a defense to field one of these years.
Next week we play a top 25 ranked Bearcats team from Cincinnati. Hoping for the best and I think we can pull it off. We almost took OSU last year and hung with Boise for a half, too. Hopefully we beat Cinci, take care of NIU, and meet Ohio in the MAC championship with both teams ranked.
Are they able to tell where OSU would be if not for the bowl ban?
I was telling a buddy the other day, that if you were gonna get dinged by the ncaa, this was the year for the Buckeyes. Even without the bowl ban, if they run that schedule, there is no way in hell they leap frog all those teams.
They may end up running their schedule, and when you go back and look at it, there will not be one of those teams ranked at the end of the year. That's just sad.
I think for Buckeye fans, if they want to win it next year, is to hope for an early high ranking in the 2 non-BCS polls, because I think that's what's carrying Alabama right now, who still has all their tough games to play... They haven't exactly ran the gauntlet.

the good thing is that it might not matter. Michigan is really the only team with an offense as good as even Indiana's left on our schedule (man, the Big10 stinks this year).
Indiana is #27 in the country in yds/game. No, they should not be able to move the ball like that on the Buckeyes. Yes, it is a bad sign. But, who else in the Big10 puts up offensive stats like that?
the answer: Ohio State and Nebraska.
Michigan and NW are the only other teams in the Big10 with an offense in the top half of the rankings. We don't face NW.

In free agency I want Andy Levitre from Buffalo. He is a really good guard, but the guy can literally play every postiion on the Line. He can force Pinkston and Lavaou to fight for the other spot.
I don't think we finish #1, but top 5-10 range.
1st- Jordan Poyer- CB- Oregon State
3rd- Bacarri Rambo- FS- Georgia
Trade- 4th, 5th and one 7th rounder back into the 3rd
I'll have to watch Poyer for a few weeks. Since moving to Oregon I've become an Oregon State supporter. I can't stomach the Ducks. I love Mike Riley as a coach. He's tough but extremely well liked by his players and the local press. He does a lot with very little in Corvallis as compaired to Knight's trust fund kids in Eugene. If he ever comes back to the pros I'd be interested as a Browns coach.
Not bad.....Wing will go earlier than the 7th IMO...teams are starting to understand you need good kickers, and you don't have to draft them all that often if you get the right player, so every 15-20 years you can invest a 4th-5th rounder to get the guy you want to handle the job.
Really, on average, how many 4th round picks....shoot, even 2nd round picks play 20years???

Thing about Braxton is, he drives you nuts then you look and see he's got ridiculous numbers and he's been good s out taking care of the ball.
Most importantly any time they have needed a score, he's delivered. Can't just chalk that up to nothing. That's huge. That goes all the way back to the Michigan game last year, when he kept making plays late, and unfortunately the D didn't show up late in the game.
